If I am not wrong only WI and Aus have won the WC back to back for two consecutive yrs.India as defending champions and current cricketing superpower must attempt to equal the achievements of the two couNttries.That will put India on top of the cricketing world for all time to come.
The Quarter final system is not so good. We cannot reward a team playing poorly in the group stages and having one very good performance in the QF to knock out the top team from the other group. In Super six,we get matches between top three teams from each group and then semi-finals.Much better system to determine the winner in a 12 or 14 team event.
matches till knock out stages are useless because top 8 teams will qualify easily ...this is not a football world cup...there are only 8-9 good teams...they should have only 8-9 teams and use the format of IPL to decide the winner...because then you will have a clear winner...rather than someone who plays well in only 3 final games
Final and most of the matches should have happened in Perth as it a west coast and Sun sets in last( Minimum Time Diff) thus in India and England most people could have enjoyed matches......

only chance we have in world cup if Sehwag, yuvraj, bhajji, gambhir are back in squad.. we cant win with rohit shrmas and rainas in million years
