The 2nd win had more positives for team India than the first one. The best part was that in spite of Virat Kohli getting out early the Indian batting did not crumble.Yes, Zimbabway known as one of the best fielding units in the world were woefully short of their reputations. But for the dropped catches and other fielding lapses it could have been a close match and even Zim could have won. Any way it was good to see Shikhar Dhawan scoring a century yet again and DK coming at 65 for 4 also playing a responsible innings. He was under pressure with some ex-Delhi cricketers in the experts panel gunning for his head even before start of the first TEST at Harare. On the bowling front Unadkat seemed to be gaining in confidence with immaculate line and length bowling. His Yorkers and cleaning of the tail reminded of Zaheer. Wonder if he could open the bowling attack with Shami Ad. As usual Amit Mishra and Jadeja both bowled wel. However it is time P/Rasool is given a chance resting jadeja. Even all the remaining benched players should be tried out from match no.3 onwards.Virat Kohli should avoid unnecessary distraction as seen on the disputed catch. Once third umpire gave the decision he should have just walked to pavilion quietly. As a captain it is all the more important to be dignified in on& off-field behavior..
dhawan century against the worst team in the world, even worse than our club level ipl team. it was sheer luck that he got hundred. u cant consider it as good inning. i wudnt teat even a triple of sehwag with 4 lives to his innings in multan as good innings, but a good inning of 97 by sunil gav in tiring conditions against pak on lively pitch

in my opinion, you should keep quiet. you are afraid to keep rayudu or dinesh karthick because dhoni's position as a keeper will be challenged. so keep quiet.

and rayudu is not even an wicket keeper... even dravid has kept wicket more times than rayudu and nobody really thinks of dravid as a wicket keeper...when we think of him we only think of him as a batsman...how many times has rayudu kept wickets? does mr injun abhi have any idea about that?

First of all understand the game of cricket. Why do we need 2 specialist WKs in the side while we have C.Pujara like specialist batsman in reserve.

I will not drop Raina. Rohit and Dhawan opening pair is doing well so there is no need to change opening combination.

We are missing Yuvraj, sehwag, gambhir, bhajji and Zaheer my friend our youngsters will need 2-3 YEARS TO MATURE. If we make this blunder again we are doomed ag. South Africa and England

Pujara shd replace raina,, If a player like Gambhir can be dropped just for few games why not raina..
Re: Re: scare
by sunil vaidya on Jul 27, 2013 07:23 AM
raina has failed only a couple of matches...coming so down the order he is doing good....but gambhir was horribly out of form both in tests and odis...so it was completely correct to drop him...

besides pujara when he will come will bat up the order. certainly not in raina's batting position....
