i do agree with Aus Capt. Tendulkar play game for achieving his mile stone. Always fail miserably and place India in a pathetic position He score when other brought India in a winning stage. after all he is an India by birth.
Comparing the two greats seems to be a favourite passtime of idle minds.We should celebrate the geniuses that they both were or are instead of breaking our heads over who has been better.Both of them had their own strengths and weaknesses.
But Lara never had company of other good batsmen like Dravid, VVS, Sehvag, Ganguly etc. Whenever he fired he was on his own and was same with Sachin during his prime period. All in all Sachin hold edge over Lara due to various reasons. Ponting is entitled to have his opinion on it as he was one of the great batsman and a captain.

Yes When saurav played with sachin he taught him how to hit drives and cuts . Dravid taught Tendulkar upper cut and leg glance. laxman taught sachin how to run between the wickets. Surely these players helped sachin a lo. Runs scored by Sachin should be divided into 3 parts and there credit should be given to these 3 batsmen. You agree with that, dont you?
