Sachin got Most Shocking decisions in the Test or ODI history. Sachin was given out at least 50 times incorrectly in Test. Which really effected his confidence when he was at his peak. If DRS was there Sachin would have crosssed 20000 runs both in Tests and ODIs at least 5 years back. On the other hand Ricky Ponting escaped many times when he was out, because umpires fear to give out Aussies that time.
Ponting is correct because regardless of the number of runs an individual scored, what is important is whether that contribution was helpful in winning or saving the tests. Besides this Sachin was playing in a side of which the batting fortunes were on the upswing with the likes of Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman strengthening and later on Sehwag and Gambhir strengthening the opening stands. On the other hand Lara was playing in a Windies side which was going down with only Chanderpaul as a consistent batsman. Despite that he won test matches single handedly noticeably the world record chase of four hundred eighteen with number eleven as company. Lara was a better player because he never curbed his natural aggressive instincts.
Sachin is the ONLY ASIAN batsman whose aggregate average in Aus,Eng,SA is 50plus. Yes ONLY ASIAN, not even Dravid. You must also know that Aus,SA,Eng have got the best bowling attack of the WORLD.
Do you know what is Lara average there? Aus 42 Eng 49 SA 46... MUCH MUCH LESS THAN SACHIN...
ponting wanted to beat Sachin's record but could not do it...hence he has always been jealous of him....Sachin has more man of the matches than anybody else in history...which sows his match winning capabilities both in tests and ODIs....also don't forget Sachin was more than a useful bowler and has won India matches with the ball too...almost 200 international wickets is no mean achievement considering what he has achieved with bat.....

Lara in Test - Century - 34 Win- 7 Lost-14 & Drawn- 13 Winning % is 21
Sachin in Test - Century -51 Win -20 Lost - 11 Drawn - 20 Winning % is 39 %
So Mr. Ponting Who is best ????? these aussies is known for only criticising to INDIAN cricketers...b'cause they are jealous of INDIANS, And if you want to be in news/media, just speak against Sachin.

Sachin's record abroad is pathetic. Lara is one who can play in any condition. Don't keep boasting Sachin. He is good in flat pitches. That is it.

Stats don't speak truth. The wins lara gave were single handedly. The wins sachin gave, others also contributed equally or even more.

the aussies come to india to take money & then slander indian greats except warne & gilchrist. bcci & ipl has no shame/guts to condemn those ba---rds. sachin & Lara are both greats in their own way & cricket knowing fellows knew about them. Ponting like all uglyy aussies want cheap publicity & so he is opening his filthy mouth against Indian players.
