Rohit got many chances. He has played 98 ODI matches with chances. Flintoff in his entire successful career has played 141 OID matches and Nasser Hussain who played 88 ODI matches in his career.
So Rohit has played more matches than Hussain and other successful players only in chances.. Great achievement.

whats so grat about Rohit failure for 5 years and ok in last 2 months.. Much better players like Tiwari, Raydu waiting for theirchance
I have always believed and continue to believe that talent is of no use without complementing attitude.
Furthermore, one can only be just amused if a batsman claims to be technically correct, to be of a high class and talent, with a reportaire of strokes at his command etc. if all that does not reflect in playing according to the match situation.
A couple of years back, Rohit was seen throwing his wicket away due to poor shot selection, that too after settling down. One really appreciates his resolve these days to stick around and play longer. Again, I firmly believe that in a 50 over match or in a test, if a batsman hangs around despite the ball doing something by way of seam, swing, spin or bounce, then he will be and should be able to score runs in the later phase of his innings.
Now Rohit seems to have learnt half the lesson and will prove to be a good asset to the team either as opener or in the early middle order if he can learn the second half of the lesson also.
Anyway, good luck to the young brigade and wish they keep performing consistently and do not allow the old guard to even remotely dream of making a come back.

Have u got enemity with Yuvraj or Zaheer,, its only becouse of all Team of 2011 that we won the world cup. Dont jump the gun my friend..They are miles ahead androhit cant reach close to any of them incl.. Gambhir, Sehwag

Despite rohits presence in the team which is choking up one end and forcing other players to accelerate the scoring thus having to paly unusual sstrokes
This constipaated fellow is doing the same damage that rahul drawid used to do ..block up one end.
Shewag has spoiled Gambhir career by using him against Dhoni for his personal ego. Also the IPL victory in 2012 added his head-weight. The non-cricket knowledge group (SRK) behind him and the Media poured all evils on him. In the end he lost all his cricketing skills and just playing in-front of Media with his bad mouth. I would still say Gambhir is a natural and good opening batsman. But he has to forget his captain ambitions and work hard to get back to the team at-least for ODI.
