He is a worthless commentator anyway. I have never heard him give his own opinion except on DRS. His strategy always been to listen what other commentators have to say and simply repeat it in his own words.
Arun Lal may not be fleshy but he is genuine and has very good insights about the game. And same about Russel Arnold from Srilanka.
Shivramkrishnan is probably the worst among Indian commentators. ANd Remiz Raza is the worst from subcontinent
Arun Lal is the most annoying commentator EVER! Shastri and Ganguly are the best followed by Harsha Bhogle. Gavaskar used to be good but he has gone senile lately.
The explanation given by ICC is quite convincing.The four Indian commentators for the Champions Trophy-Gavaskar,Ganguly,Manjarekar and Harsha Bhogle were always better than Ravi Shastri.His out of placed flamboyance must have cost him his wicket.
With his stock expressions and limited understanding it was getting tedious to hear him after a while.Thye commentators should be rotated and newer people with better understanding of the technicalities should be given chance. Anyway as a playyer too, he was hardly any g..d.on top of that his biases.
It was indeed nice not to see and hear Shastry as a commentator in the CT.
It is enough. How long you can make people to see the same face . Neither they are quitting nor people concerned are discarding old guards.
I personally believe that as has been in the team, opportunity to young and deserving (both financially and intellectually) boys to come up in this lovely field which is full of life.

I agree with you sir. You also follow your own advice and off yourself. We are getting tired of watching same old face and we would rather see "young and deserving" people.
