Waseem Jaffer

Selectors have gone nuts....where is our best opening batsman Waseem Jaffer????
He must be considered for tests for at least a year or two till we doesn't find a young technically strong opener.

Where's Dinesh Karthik?

Where's Dinesh Karthik? Why he doesn't figure in any of these squads? Saha is sure good for test cricket and will be found wanting when it comes to limited overs cricket. Parthiv on all the occasions tested proved he's not up to the mark. DK will be an asset in shorter forms and sure deserves a chance and another look in.

Let see how he performs against quality bowlers. If he does well bring him as a specialist opener in test format.

Parthiv is the leading scorer in Ranaji and his keeping is improved vastly. He deserves a chance even ahead of dhoti in tests. All TN players like badri, vijay, karthik, Balaji were given enough chance during Srikanth,s tenure as chief selector, now it's others turn

Parthiv can only score in domestic cricket. he doesn't have the class to excel in international arena and in pitches abroad. I'm not from TN and I do think, Pankaj, Dinda and Sreesanth in pace bowling, M. Vijay, Shikar Dhavan, Rahane among openers, Manoj Tiwari, Rayudu, Badri (though age isn't there in his side) among middle order batsmen, Saha & DK for test, shorter format cricket in that order do need to be tried with enough chances here and abroad. I do not see any promising spin bowlers at all currently who could do well against international batsmen. Ashwin stands exposed and even Ojha and Jadeja can never win matches on their own. BCCI needs to act fast to find and nurture spinners. Ashwin would do well to sign a county team and play cricket in England for a season to hone his skills in bowling under the guidance of an ace ex-spinner.
