given our pathetic performance in tests, drastic changes are the need of the hour. remove dhoni from the test team along with gambhir. this should be the team for tests alone.
1. rahane 2. jaffer 3. pujara 4. sachin 5. virat 6. raina - captain 7. saha/ karthik 8. ishant 9. umesh 10. any good spinner from the ranji 11. ojha
I believe it is better to bring back Wasim Jaffer and Mohd kaif for indian team for test matches. Both are very good batsman for test level and very matured. They are far far better than Raina and Yuvraj Singh. Not sure why selectors are not giving chances to them.

i agree with u kumar. md kaif was such a gr8 bat. at one time he was an equal to laxman. even now he is only 30. unfortunatly ppl like kaif, jaffer and for that matter amre (before) dnt have godfathers.

past gr8 does not mean present gr8 for international grade they are crusty
Rahane and Jaffer open against Australia . Because looking at Gambhir and Shewags failure they will be well prepared how to bowl at them .Bring these two and surprise Aussies. and Bring in Manoj Tiwary also. Jaffer can play for 2-3 yrs more. To face Aussie pace we need more batsmen .Even Jadeja and Raina played in ODI they are still not Test Fit.

common Jadeja has made triple hundreds in ranji, so both jaffer and jadeja shud be there
Gambhir, Sahwag, Zahir, should be banished and sent into book of History. Rohit, Virat, Rahane and Yuvi should spend 6 months in mental conditioning camp so that they can put their great talent to some use. Ashwin should be sent to physical conditioning camp so that he can recover from the injury he has been hiding. Wasim Jaffer, Manoj Tiwary, Unmukt Chand, Harmeet Singh and Raina should be brought into Test team.

no godfather. same problem with mohd kaif. also pravin amre before them. sadly this is india ...
