Yes, Dhoni is right that if the batting had clicked possibly India could have won the last match. One thing for sure is that Rohit Sharma is not a dependable bat because of his casual attitude and so team management instead of banking on him should find some other more dependable youngsters like Pujara or others. On the other hand Jadeja has made all the difference to the One day side and is a crucial addition. Ishant Sharma has bowled well towards the series closing and now it is for him and the team management to make him deliver more consistently. R Ashwin appears to be gone case and if only he had delivered India could have won the Pak series as also won the England series 5-0.It was strange first it was the English spinners , Panesar and Swan who unexpectedly proved better. Then it was the turn of the Pakistani spinners and now even an unknown Tredwell is proving better. In fact R Jadeja who joined as part time spinner is proving far superior to Ashwin. Geatest irony is except him the whole world seem to be knowing where Ashwin is lacking. Other than spinning the ball he is trying everything else and the batsman is getting all the time on earth to play his ball with ease the way he wants---on backfoot or forward, taking on full…..how can he get wicket this way ? This way he can’t be picked for the TEST side against the Aus.
While bloggers who hate Tendulkar used to punce if he were around, now must be thinking about their young hero's who they taught can replace Tendulakr easily. The young hero's Kohli, Raina and other have the same bowling attack to defend totals .... unless we have an bowling attack like what Aussies had with McGrath and Windies had prior to tham, we cannot win matches solely by batsman contribution.

No Tendly to Blame now we have got the correct players and naturally are again no. 1 team...
MS Dhoni is undoubtedly the most successful captain in Indian Cricket history. He has scraped past England 3-2 in this home series and his devotees are jumping up and down in harmonic frenzy.
But the sad truth is that Indian batting is in poor shape and not capable of hand]ling quality pace or spin bowling. Winning a home series in doctored pitches may make Dhoni look like folk heros to some but remember that England did not have their mainline bowlers - Anderson, Swann, and Panesar. How do you think Indian batsmen would fare against Austrlia or South Africa?
The pace bowling attack seems to stabilized with the inclusion of two quality swing bowlers and Ishant finding his'mojo'.
But what about spin? Indian spinners were inferior to B team spinner Tredwell at home? This is a major problem and Dhoni's pet spinner Asswin makes spiinning tracks look flat. He clearly does not belong to the team and is their because of Dhoni's arrogant support and a 'sugar daddy' in BCCI. Time to kick this useless guy out of the team and bring back India's ace spinner - Harbhajan Singh.
No excuses stand merit against Harbhajan after his replacements have been exposed as mediocre or below standard. For whatever reason selectors & BCCI have pushed Harbhajan to play Ranji Trophy where he captained Punjab team to Semis. Even in flat Rajkot wicket he took 4 wickets in front of Sandeep Patil. So why is he not in the team and why is Asswin still wearing that Indian shirt?

We need better spinners. Bhajji is useless any more. His time was over.
Rohit Sharma by virtue of his 83 in the 4th ODI will play next 20 ODIs and score in single digits. he scored 5 0 0 4 4 in five successive innings and was still in team. Manoj Tiwary scored century and never played. Ambati Rayadu never given chance. Pujara not given chance.

Dhoni doesnt require Quota System like corrupt political parties. He doesnt need anyone's vote. He is an an Instinctive captain, sometimes his instincts work but in Rohit's case its not working. Others chances will come very soon

Agree. I think Dhoni tried his last attempt by giving some confidence but talentless Rohit can never be useful for the team.

Why only rohit what Raina has done has failed all through scored three centuries against Pakistan, bangladesh and Hong Kong and has not scored a century for 5 years.people say he did well in this series I watched last two innings and I think he was out on 42 in the match he scored 89 as Finn kicked on the stumps and his catch was missed two times in last match I remember he got 6 lifelines has any other batsman got 6 lifelines like yuvraj or kohli or sehwag or yusuf has scored atleast 150 runs and yet ppl call this loser an using hero shame on dhoni to play Raina.

Raina comes to bat at no.5 or 6 he doesnt get that many overs or balls to make centuries, he's been given the role of a finisher.
