He was considered as future Sachin. Nonetheless, he failed to keep his form as he started playing more International Cricket. What I could make it out that, he was left alone as a lone batsman than anything else. He was never explored on what other stuff he could do (of course he does little fielding too). Unlike the current in-form Jadeja who is given ample opportunities in all areas, Gouty was not and we all know that who should be blamed here.

It's not Gouty's failure, it's the captain's failure or I should say "smart ignorance"

irresponsible article
by rohit chauhan on Jan 27, 2013 06:07 AM

it seems someone has asked rediff to print this article to build public opinion. gauti has not been very bad in ODIs. One century and 2 half centuries in last 10 matches is not bad performance(2 centuries and 5 half centuries in last 20)

problem with indian team - BCCI
by wizardo id on Jan 27, 2013 01:14 AM

when they are out of form, just rotate them. dont ruin their careers by giving them a long rope and then dumping them unceremoniously! take care of the talent. BCCI is responsible for "owing" the game and ruining it .

Gambhir and Sehwag the politicians
by akshay k on Jan 26, 2013 03:30 PM  | Hide replies

Gambhir and Sehwag the corrupt politicians from Delhi wanted Dhoni's captaincy and left no stone unturned to damage his reputation. But ultimately, the truth prevailed and the world recognised Dhoni's worth even in a below average team. Sehwag was shown the door and now it's Gambhir's turn. We have enough trouble with politicians in India , we dont want them in the cricket team also.
