I am surprised you guys have no problem in celebrating New Year or Valentines Day (which are really great, right?) but fail to recognize the necessity of reservation. Ambedkar was not wrong, Reservation WAS needed and IS needed for many people today in education field. Politicians and some SOBs are misusing it for personal gain and votebank politics. Go to any village and see the condition of the poor & downtrodden over there.

Then kindly explain why should reservation be applied on caste or religion as outlined by Ambedkar and increasingly more so during Kaangress rule. In some states it is exceeding 51% - at a much higher level than 1947, whereas the original intent was to remove the need for reservation within 15-20 years. Indicates reservation has made matters worse for SC and ST. Right?

At that time, "lower caste" people were literally trampled by everyone. I dont think his view in 1950 was wrong. If I am not mistaken, Ambedkar wanted a review of this system every 10 years. Thanks to spineless Nehru and his useless successors, we are seeing it as vote-bank politics.
Well, for the matters being worse for SCST, I can only say that "If betting is rampant in cricket, will you blame the guys who cannot control it, or do you blame the guy who started cricket?".
It is really unfortunate that because of present day "reservation" has spoilt the job opportunities of not only "high castes" & SCSTs, but also reduced most of the govt offices to be the most incompetent organizations.
