so called talent

On the day Rohit Sharma made his first fifty for India, Virat Kohli was playing the U19 World Cup Final. And today Kohli already has 4,000 ODI runs whereas Rohit Sharma completed his 2,000 ODI runs today only.

Indian bowling attack issues in the future.
by Nikhil Shah on Jan 24, 2013 05:26 AM

The ODI bowling attack needs to be compared with Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar and the orders such as Druv, Shami, Siddarth Kaul and Pandey.

Dhruv and Praveen as the same, and we expect Druv to get a 36 average like Praveen.

The profile of Shami is more quicker and looks will a Test match bowler like Pandey.

S Kaul has an FC average of 4.36 better quicker so ideal for Tests and ODIs but we have to wait.

Shami and Pandey cannot control in ODIs quicker they are quicker but will go for 5.0 eco.

Ishant has to go 80-85 mph in ODIs and looks world class compared to to Dhruv and Shami.

Rohit Sharma is a natural stroke player. He bound to fail in the past. Team Management should allow Rohit to open the innings for the next 10 matches to fit in the opening slot.

Well mindset & patience r most important factors for batsmen at international level which Rohit lacks at the moment. Just having strong technique is not the guarantee of success. Being talented is one thing and converting that talent into performance is the other.

India Wins!!!!!!!
by Teena Mehta on Jan 23, 2013 10:36 PM

Its feels great to see india winning after such a bad & forgettable 2012. Luckyly for Rohit today's chance given to him saved his career.

Suresh raina guided india to the victory, am very happy for him. Raina is one of the most under-rated cricketer. Experts always say lot of things about his technique but at d highest level temperament & mindset matters more than technique. Otherwise Rohit wouldnt have been facing so many problems at this level coz he is regarded as technically correct & the most talented of this generation by experts.

Rahane !! Out of Form ?
by yatin parate on Jan 23, 2013 09:54 PM  | Hide replies

How can you write Rahane as out-of-form with just 2 innings failure ?
How many did sharma got or any others for that matter ?..................Do not write off irresponsibly !!

But Rahane is averagely skilled where as Rohit is a gifted player.. Persist with the talent and it would bear fruit..

Rohit alone can play the PULL shot with real authority.. Others, including Yuvraj are only a shade on seaming tracks..

Rise above the emotions friends.. See reason before making a dumb comment.. But never against Rahane.. Hope all performing youngsters stay in the reckoning..

I agree Rahane deserved more chances to settle down at International level. Rohit shouldnt have been even in d 15 member squad. Feel sorry for Rahane :-((
