Venu.. They why are Indian cricketers and BCCI opposing DRS.. If India suffers then its their own dam fault and not of England or ICC... But other countries suffering due to DRS is very bad as it is purely due to BCCI

THIS IS WHERE THE WHOLE GAME IS !

If players are involved in match fixing then we can have boards punishing them. But if the board themselves fix match - who can punish them ? It is like police is there to catch the thieves ,but if the police themselves become thieves what then ! So this is not as simple as it looks .With out DRS India may find it difficult to win even in India and if India does not win the ads and tons of money does not flow - plus do not forget our beeting mafia most of them close associates of Politicians and governors in board . Nothing can be perfected without long trials - saying it is not perfect is just a sham .I for one have no faith on the honesty of these persons.

didn't we win the world cup with DRS in place? So where was the fixing then?

Why not DRS ?
by chatter on Jan 21, 2013 12:57 AM  | Hide replies

If there was DRS no one would be whining. All other countries are using it against each other. So no one complains after a match. Wonder what special knowledge the BCCI guys have that makes them not agree to DRS in matches involving India.

True. It is upto the players/captain to use up the 2 chances either foolishly as Clarke (yesterday), or practically. Captains blaming umpiring decisions will be less if it is implemented.

the rules are the same for both the teams...not only england but indians also cannot use drs....so stop whining and giving excuses...

Sunil.. the rules are not the same.. England have got affected by too many intentional blunders by Indian umpires both in test and one days.. If DRS was there then England would be easily 3-0 up by now in one days..

If England was hurt by bad decisions in Kochi, India was also hurt. Remember Yuvraj's wicket as lbw, where the bowl clearly hit the bat before it hit the pad.

Please understand - it is not that it happens to every team or every such decisions will make huge difference - but at times only one decision make a difference between win and lose . See Tennis and see Cricket played in australia or SA many decisions wrong ones were corrected .Yes ! at times 5 % of decisions turn out to be daicey .Yes because these Administrators in BBCI add in India we are a poor nation in development except corruption where we are most advanced - because every system is developed with loop holes to loot and even a good system is tweeked toloot.

clarke is blamed because he used up both reviews foolishly. now, should the umpire tell the batsman/captain which decision can be referred or which cannot??

absolutely right
when it goes against him he blames umpires
by the way use of DRS is same for both teams is it not?

it improves decision making
so if without DRS they are same for both with the better thing that is DRS it is same
use dRS
that is what many ppl want

Umpire is 12th Indian Player
by DEBABRATA DEY on Jan 20, 2013 05:22 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni won 2nd ODI with the blessings of Umpire. He was out at 6 (Since Cricket is a Gentleman's Game, Dhoni should have walked out even though he was not given out by Umpire. But, he did not. There is a blatant reason; he is truly an opportunist). Again, flouting the true spirit of the game, he won 3rd ODI with same blessing of the Umpire. A bad decision departed Pietersen.

Venu.. Is Pakistan Opposing DRS ?? No they are not.. So Indians have no rite to complain against wrong decisions against them...Even after DRS comes in place and then such things happen then only India has the rite to comnplain.. Till that time Dhoni, BCCI and people like you must shut their mouth.. cheers

India is playing well because IPL is nearby. as the IPL date gets nearer and nearer you will see better performance from Players. As soon as IPL gets over they will return to their shambolic performace.
