The guy is simply amazing with an aura of coolness that is hard to surpass! He should now bat up the order as he has proved beyond doubt that he is a master batsman too. Good luck to you Mr. Dhoni. You have shown all of us and the whole world what you are capable of! You are "the" captain" which we are proud to have. Don't you bother about criticisms and uncharitable remarks made by some of the ex cricketers. Just scan them for anything useful in them and dump the rest in the waste paper basket.
Hope his deputies will give him full support without any gimmick and jealousy. He is the most successful captain and at present there is no suitable replacement in the team.
he is good in shorter form of cricket not for test captain all the top class player has become demotivated, bowlers toothless, he canot escape from liability as a captain
"Everything that surrounds it is fanatical. Again, at this stage, I am quite used to it. Even the trip from the airport to the hotel, seeing the streets lined like that just for a team turning up was amazing."
Thats the reason why India still a third world country...Ban Cricket..save India

I think you r right. All those r criticize to Dhoni in their time non of them could not play winning pari. However, Sunil Gawashkar is great player but he could not made ever one man winner army just like Dhoni.
Those who blame or criticise Dhoni especially senior cricketers are quite jealous of him. Dhoni's flamboyance, fame and form made their heart burning. I consider Dhoni as all time great captain India had in the history in spite of a few shortcomings. No one should blame captain for batting or bowling failure of players. Captain can only decide on policy matters, he can take horses only to the water but if the horses refuse to oblige he can ot be blamed. In fact his team mates have ditched him in the test series on sure assumption that ultimately blame will be on Dhoni not on them.

very true.A very good example of how difficult it is to be captain and wicket keeper andd batsman is AB De Villiers giving up wicket keeping by admitting it is very difficult to do all the three roles.Only when you experience it, you know the difficulties.

Yep, he's been a colossal failure (as a captain) in the last few test series..
People said, it got to his head and is untenable as a skipper..
But well, given the situation, he handled the hot seat rather better than any you could imagine of..
If batsmen do not perform, then captain is rendered impotent.. He's only as good as the team after all.. Blame Tendus, Dravids, laxmans among others for that 8-0 whitewash..
