That will come to 2000 minus 379 = 1621 ordinary police constables. So there's 1 SI for about 5 and 1/2 constables. 1 CI for 6 SIs and 1 Dy.SP for 2 CIs, and 1 SP for 6 Dy.SPs, and 1 IG for 4 SPs. I hope these figures won't frighten the would be terrorists. They must be quite a worried lot by now, especially after reading the REDIFF article !!!
