Hope he has gone back after his batting. Mumbai has many batsman . Also his place is there secure for next couple of years when ever he want to play.. He can be with Family..
Jaffer never really performed poorly to be booted out of the Indian team, just that gambir was better tahn him. Now that Gambhir is in worse form than Jaffer ever was, it's time to give Gambhir the boot and give the opening spot to Jaffer for the next couple of seasons. In fact, he is also a viable captaincy alternative option to Dhoni.

Absolutely correct. King asctually you have taken my word from my mouth. Yeah he definitely deserve a secure place for a long season. Don't know why he was given a bot instead he has batting average of 37 .
Actually our selector Mr srikanth the south boy has never stood looking from soouth rather than any other zones.

Ansari, Jaffer's test debut happened during the stone age :) definitely before Srikanth's term. There have been a few exceptional Ranji batsmen who could not make it big in Tests, Brijesh Patel (KA), Badrinath (TN) etc.

I don't see any other player rather than Wasim Jaffèr who has served team Mumbai to a great extent in Domestic Cricket. When selectors wake up and give him a chance as he is in the mightiest form after he came from the Haj Pilgrimage. Best wishes to the Elegant & Stylish Jaffèr.
