Some people never learn
by Orient Mystique on Jan 08, 2013 04:11 PM

This guy should focus on his game and improving it rather than give interviews, make statements etc. If people compare him to Rahul Dravid, it is their business and this guy should just ignore them and should not even think about what they say or do not say.

He made a big score in the first test of the series against England no doubt and also a century in Mumbai in the first innings (one would say with a charmed life at the crease!) but later he didn't do nothing of note, especially when the team needed him to contribute.

I do not think that super stars of yester years like Sunny, Kapil Dev etc. gave any interviews at least until they had played dozens of test matches over a period of 5 or more years after making their debut. The likes of Vishwanath, Prasanna, Chandrasekhar never gave any interviews at all as far as I can remember.

But alas, the likes of Sreesanth and shortlived wonders of IPL wish to grab media glare by rushing to give interviews, statements, opinions, estimates of the opponents etc. and fail like paper boats too soon.

Good Selection
by Sandeep Nibber on Jan 08, 2013 02:31 AM  | Hide replies

Finally some good selection. This boy is really talented and has good temperament. That what counts. He can score in any format at any pace. He is needed more these days even in ODI when half the team goes back to pavilion before 15th over and leaves almost a full test session to be played by some one else. And no, he is not from my community or region. Kohli, Gambhir and Yuvraj too should be given stern warning and thrown out if they dont do any thing substantial by first 3 ODIs. There are lots of boys sitting around, they have more energy and motivation to do well.

Right Entry!
by saurabh verma on Jan 08, 2013 02:23 AM

This is the correct entry system that should be followed by BCCI. Only a seasoned test player can be successful in ODI's. T-20 should be a lab for testing captaincy skills of future captains.

Lets hope you play..

Lets hope they will let you play in ODI. There are big names like Rohit Sharma, Gambhir and Jadeja ahead of you..

Lets hope they don't make you warm the bench and actual get to play..

You achived good in Test cricket which many juniors cant do. Seems have a good future.
