Have you seen any Test match to know about how well he is captaining the team? Don't think IPL is the only form of cricket.

Stop criticisng Dhoni

Dhoni has won 2 world-cups for India. Give him a break. He has tried to do his best with third-class resources. The diameter of Bhuvanesh Kumar's thigh is less than the diameter of Mohammad Irfan's arm. How many things will you blame Dhoni for???

If he won 2 world cups, he has lost 10 Tests out of 13. No country can tolerate this! Even Zimbabwe will change the captain as the first step. Doing the same thing every time and expecting different results is highly idiotic. Matches are not won on thigh and arm length. Can Dhoni bat for one session in conditions outside the subcontinent to talk about others.

yes 10 test loss out of 13 out of which 80% were lost in 3-4 days with the margins of one innings. lost 2 T-20 world cups, lost CB tri series in australia including Sri lanka, lost the asia cup, lost to england in India, could not win T-20 series against england and pakistan, lost to pak in india by 0-2 (may be 3-0), he will always be great yes forever, till the next 100 years... keep on dreaming

he is selfishly making runs where as rest of 10 are taking rest. also his 100 and 50 in last two ODI are for loosing cause. so he should retire, so that some youngster from cheif selectors city or bcci presidents city can play inhim place.

Ghambir, Sehwag, Yuvraj - III Rate cricketers
by Srinivas on Jan 05, 2013 01:12 PM  | Hide replies

Ghambir, Sehwag, Yuvraj are III Rate cricketers, they are jealous about Dhoni's huge money deals after world cup win.

As usual Indians are greed and this is not surprising to see in cricket.

You mean Dhoni is responsible only for wins and losses are because of others, he has no responsibility! He is in the same situation as Manmohan, if it is good I am responsible, if it is bad Raja, Kalmadi are responsible.

Playing nations' greatest sport and representing nation in playing 11 itself should be the biggest motivating factor for all players. Captain has no role in terms of motivation, techniques etc etc...every thing has to come out of every player when playing for nation.

DHONI cannot be blamed for flop show, it's typical Indian hypocrisy to target captain if team fails !!

He can not survive, even if he is in Zimbabwe or Bangladesh for so many failures. If captain has no role in motivating the team, then there is no need for him being in the team. So, you say captain can only take credit for wins and all losses are because of others?? If is the captain does not have the attitude to play Tests and he is persisted with as captain, anyone will start failing at some point of time.

It is Abbas's convenience.
by Bharat on Jan 05, 2013 01:05 PM  | Hide replies

But how can Dhoni leave T20. IPL is a T20 form.Dhoni wants to be there where the Money is.

Dhoni has lost captaincy of all the three forms.

Because please observe his blame game.

He blames senior players pointing out that he is a junior player. Is he?

He blames top order batsmen, meaning that he is not a top order batsmen. He blames low order also.

He himself is neither there nor here. He is INBETWEEN.

BCCI should experiment by dropping him as a Captain to see whether all senior/ junior, top order, bottom order players deliver.

What are you waiting for?

Agree, BCCI to give chance to Virat as Captaincy & Unmukta as Vice-cap..We will must overcome from these situations like SA after that WC debacle last 12 years back by giving chance to Graeme Smith. Also we should promote Sandeep Patil as Coach (he has done good job as Chief Selectors by dropping Sachin, not bent on BCCI / Sachin pressure)
