Irresponsible players
by PADMANABHAN IK on Jan 06, 2013 11:05 AM

Dhoni is absolutely right in saying that non-performance of the players, sometime looking like deliberately, is responsible for the present sorry state of Indian cricket team. The media and our ex-players putting blame on the captain & coach will encourage such wrong tactics by them hoping to get change captaincy. BCCI and selectors should firmly enforce discipline among the players.

Dhoni should blame himself as the leader

Coach does matter if you look at the track record
- John Write - Team India built under Dada
- Greg Chappel - screwed the team, playing politics
- Gary Kristen - India reached #1 in test and ODI
Duncan Fletcher - Indian team started loosing all series

Look at how well Dav Whatmore has done to the teams he has coached like Sri Lanka, Bangaladesh and now Pakistan
So, it's not a coincidence under some coachs India did well and under some very bad.

Dhoni beware, that worthless gavaskar is generating public opinion on every channel against you because you did not take his son in the team.

WHAT EXACTLY is a coach's job? Is he there ONLY to correct technique of the batsmen? In that case, most of the batsmen have their own coaches.

No coach can teach anything to like of Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj. They're seasoned players and playing long enough to know their jobs.

And again, Coach is not going to go out in the middle and bat for them. Commentators and circket experts are saying for last three years that Gambhir has bad habit of pocking the ball going wasy outside of off. And guess what, Gambhir is still doing that and refuse to correct his weaknesses.

No coach can be successful with such brats..

if that is the case..then why do we need to pay that fat_fckr..cause these players ve enough experiences to judge what they need to do...

and what abt this captain, how does he correct his techniques..if that would be the case.. leave this two game.. see his performace in past 12 months.

Unless IPL is banned or eliminated...there are loads of problems for cricket. Just aping Eng Prem League will reduce the glorious game to a 3 hour chep masala entertainer. Either the players should back out or sense should prevail over B-C-C-I

If you see both the worldcups were won by allrounders. We need more allrounders in the team. I feel we were missing the fighting spirit of BHAJJI, where has he disappeared?
