LOL... So enjoy the "long term thinking" like Eng and Pakistan are. :-) BTW no "long term thinking" about captain?
...younger version of irfans, Javangal srinath, tendulkars are waiting. Why is srinath not training them? Why is kumble not training more kumble when pakistan Imran did the same for akram and more.
DHONI SHOULD START TRANSITION. if pakistan has got rid of afridis. We need to get those rahane's and uttapa's and more. Same for bowling,
Like pakistan, go strictly by performance, not by name or politics. If some 2-3 have on and off peshabi performance every now and then. Then, Show them the door until their fix their peshab or loose their peshab. Get some new blood and train them.
We have many young Irfans and zaheer's waiting. Get few players from south-africa as well. If England can get south-africa and ireland player, why cannot india? Until we fix these cartel players, india needs to do.
Unfortunately, we cannot remove bjp-congress cartel or MMS or Sonia due to entanglement of greed for power and money by the ticket giver parties and rigging by EVMs, etc. Also the media is hyping the political liars.

, PROBLEM IS dhoni relies too much on those on and off type peshabi players. One peshab is enough, but he wants more peshab to upset team balance. he is obsessed by peshab.
there is no need to develop too much peshab. Develop the rest as well. that is the problem dhoni needs to correct. Has dhoni developed another dhoni yet?
It was on expected lines.Pak has shown supremacy in al Dpts of the game. DHONI,S ADAMANT NATURE FOR NOT CHANGING THE TEAM PLAYERS IN SPITE OF THEIR POR PERFORMANCE LEAD TO MISERABLE DEFEAT. SACK DHONI & THE SELECTORS WHO DONT HAVE GUTS .

dumbAzzRao, the selectors select the 14, not Dhoni.. you are a typical arm chair critic.. have you even played gulli danda in your miserableLife?

Apurva Singh aka Issac Newton, do you know that Dhoni said he will quit if he is not allowed to select players he wants (2008). To the media, he said "Whatever happens stays in the meeting, stays inside".
When easy money in IPL, who bothers about winning except the poor public hoping against hope. The pride of playing for the country is out of the window. We reap what we sow.

Common shiva remember the world cup win. Do you think it wasn't the same team (just 18 months back)? also do you suspect it was not won fairly (especially semi-finals where 4 catches of sachin dropped and misbah playing slow till end). No it was a passionate performance from Indian team, its just going through a bad patch. Hope you get my comments.

I will be happy if you are proved right. While I don't blame the players, you know our attitude - stretching our legs the moment our backsides get some support! Take a cue from Aussies; they play to win every time. I feel better IPL or country, like during the Packer series.
Over the past year the Indian team has saw the departures of stalwarts like Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar (from ODI's), also others like Harbhajan and the Pathan brothers have been thrown into the dark corners of Indian cricket.
But inspite of all this the losing spree hasn't stopped, and the team keeps touching new lows.
Clearly the problem was never the players to begin with. It was this useless and inept coach Duncan 'good for nothin' Fletcher who could not ensure the unity in the dressing room and enthuse players and provide them adequate morale.
In the past year the Indian team has looked like the Pakistani team of early 2000's when greats like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Inzamam, Yousuf Yohana, Razzak, Azhar Mahmood,Saqlain and current players like Shahid Afridi,Younus Khan, Shoaib Malik etc.. played but since the dressing room was highly fragmented the team never won.
It would be wise to learn from their experience now and get a good coach like Gary Kirsten who can keep the team united and motivate all the players to perform their best on the feild..
Sack Duncan 'good for nothin' Fletcher and make Mohinder Amarnath the coach of the team...

In late 2002 and early 2003 the Indian dressing room was facing some problems because 3 players namely Sachin, Saurav and Sehwag were adamant on opening the innings in ODI's.
As a result, the team fared miserably on the New Zealand tour losing the test series 2-0 and the ODI series 6-1.
But the then coach John Wright was intelligent enough to understand the problem and hence introduced 'the team huddle', this changed the fate of the team remarkably and in 2003 World Cup, the team went on to play the finals.

2002-2003 New Zealand so called gentlemen team (atleast as far ive seen) screwed indian team with bad pitches (even S. Fleming the captain commented after one of the games about the bad state of pitch). However Shewag at that time was in good form and played natural game and Sourav G did some bold captaincy.

my point is that triggered some so called changes. The team under M S Dhoni in 2011 won the world cup, hope you remember.
what do have the prestigious IIM now got to say???
They were floored by his leadership skills that they went to the extent of making a case study out of him...
I wonder what those institutions have got to say now, provided they have the face to come and speak in public....
That's why I keep repeating, hero worshipping in India, has acquired delirious proportions and its time India stopped viewing these folks as demi_gods......
Atleast the educated f00ls need not go and fall at the feet of these over-hyped m0r0ns.
