Greatest batsmen: 1.Don Bradman:A one dimensional batsman played during an era whentime was not a big factor 2.Sachin:Failed mostly during crunch situations 3.Kallis:Always faced criticism for being too slow.Dropped from WT20'07 bcosof that 4.Ponting:Always struggled in slow pitches against genuine spin 5.Gavaskar:Great record in saving tests but not much in winning also not great in limited overs 6.Lara:Sometimes struggled against a particular bowler. For eg Macgrath and Waqar
I believe one batsman who is above all these was Viv Richards. He was suitable for any format could play any bowling at any condition and also was a performer at big occasions like the WC final 79.Was much more than any statistics.
The greatest cricketer ever .for me he ranks above Sachin - he is best in all forms of the game .batting ,bowling and taking wickets .Also I have not seen him mis-behave on the ground whenever he was on the field.AMAZING TRULY AMAZING

Sobers also excelled in captaincy, apart from his bowling ( both fast bowling and spin bowling) and batting.
Kallis did not have a good track record as a captain, but still his record is stupendous enough to rate him as the greatest all-rounder of the modern era.
Comparing Kallis with Sobers is like comparing Sachin with Bradman.
Sachin ,Shane Warne and Kallis are the greatest batsmen, bowler and all-rounder of the modern era.
