Who is wicket taking bowler after Kumble & Bhajji?
by sachin manjrekar on Jan 02, 2013 02:16 PM  | Hide replies

Batting has never been problem with India team, We have seen in recent time that India has chased 300plus target to win the matches. It is only our bowling department has let us down. Bhajji has taken so many wickets in tests but recently lost the touc, Ashwin after replacing Bhajii has never looked to take wicket at crusial point. India has won the matches in the past when Indian spinners have got them crucial wickets. It is time Dhoni selects Ashwin as allrounder in place of JAdeja or Rohit & take one more spiinner in the team. Bhajji deserves place in the team atleast in India.

India hd a bad year but have to blame themselves for not selecting talented youngsters like Badrinath, murali vijay, mukund and L Balaji who is currently best fast bowler of india today. only R Ashwin was the saving grace for india

how could you say that?
by Vikram Raj on Jan 02, 2013 12:54 AM

2012 was the year of the 100th 100, and nothing else matters to the cricket fans all over the world. In fact, I don't even remember if India won the match in which the 100th 100 was scored.

india is wasting too much money and time in sluggish sports cricket that is mostly played by corrupt and weak sporting nations like india, pakistan, sri-lanka, bangladesh.. even in 2013, we compete with failed nation pakistan.. when indians will grow up and start competing china

ADAPT TO NEW RULES AND CHANGE FOR BETTER IN 2013--II
by damodaran mohan on Jan 01, 2013 07:19 PM

(contd..)Given this background can India still bounce Back and win the series 2-1 ? For that to happen the entire side including Dhoni have to adapt to new ICC rules. Instead Dhoni says he is not “happy with new rules”. In fact the new rules should be more helpful to India with batting as its strength and go against rival teams relying on better bowling strength, especially on pacers. But India will have to play 5 and not 4 specialist bowlers. May be spinners will have to make some adjustments but the new rules permitting two bouncers per over throws a challenge at the ‘pacers’ and helps more of ‘leveling’ of the bowling of two rival sides. Pacers will have to be more accurate. We saw how the Pakistani pacers exploited the conditions in the early stages but were taken for runs by Dhoni himself. So instead of complaining Dhoni has to adapt and change strategies to suit the new ICC rules –reduce relying on part timers for bowling, go with 5 specialist bowlers, go for a young pace attack who can exploit the conditions and be the future , help them become accurate vis-à-vis field settings and so on. Short pitch deliveries w/o pace are going to be carted for runs with just four fielders outside. Erratic bowlers like Ishant Sharma who fail to exploit the conditions will have to simply go home. As of now Dhoni is still the best One day player and Captain. At least let him not lose that position.
