It's a team game Ram, the comparison you make isn't correct. You should rather check their performances in the % wins both Ganguly and Dhoni have secured in say 50 or 100 matches (in both ODIs and Tests). You will then realize that Dhoni has proved to be better than Ganguli..
he has set a record of scoring a highest double century, india won the match and you fool is quoting - not memorable. what a ridiculous statement ?????????

i only quoted that the dhoni innings was special- as it gave us healthy lead of 192 runs which made us win the match-- if it was atleast 100 runs shorter- the result must have been different- india might struggled to reach the target close to 200-just the same in 2001 chennai test- and i have no comparisons between dhoni and ganguly- agreed dada- was farsuperior??? but never count dhoni less???

Though this innings is a apecial one, i agree that his 76 in Lords was most memorable,'cos it came in testing conditions and we were trying to save the match.It was a terrific match saving innings,which came against all odds.
Not to be seen, heard or read about in meida? Has Dhoni's innings at Nagpur and in Chennai, not to forget his awesome performances in the recent ODIs, made Jimmy go underground. Loving it.

This is the most ridiculous statement that u r making,Lara is a batsman whereas Dhoni is Wk batsman.Dhoni's primary duty is that of a Keeper who can bat and he bats pretty well,whereas Lara is purely a batsman who has a excellent record in that.Comparing the two,is not right.
In test matches Dhoni should bat at No;6. No 7 should be a bowler who can also bat. Likes of Ravindra Jadeja/ Irfan Pathan depending on the pitch & opposition. This will help the team get the right combo of Spinners & pace bowlers to bowl out opposition twice.
