Leading by example, exemplyifying temperament and fitness and concentration are the foremost skills in captaincy, dude. If this innings does not define a captain's innings I don't know what does.

We can only infer how great SRT is as a batsman, that no matter the team that he is a part of, or the circumstances, he usually scores centuries. But, we cannot infer anything abt his captaincy, since he was one of the worst captains. Sunny was a good captain, although not in the same league as Kapil Dev, M.S. Dhoni and S.C. Ganguly, who were all exceptional captains, who redefined Indian cricket. Gavaskar did not lead India to any major world cup/major test series victory.
