Amarnath & Bishen bedi seems to be polititians rather than sportmen, thier ill comments have rather written them off.
Well played MSD. But, people were never against batsman Dhoni who has 50 average in ODIs and had around 38 in tests. It's about captain Dhoni, who keeps selecting Jadejas, Rainas and whoever ahead of player who deserve longer format. It's about a captain who made no changes in batting order even after loosing 8 tests in a row. It's about a captain who let the pressure go away when match could have turned in the favor of India.

Before blaming others, we have to see, why we blame others?
Is it to hide our own weaknesses or to vent out our own offline frustrations on most popular people, a subtle form of jealousy?
Who gave us world cup again? Who won us 20 20 world cup? Who took us to number 1 spot in test cricket? Also, he is going to become the most succesful test captain as well sooner or later..
There is no issue with captaincy. Some trump players when out of form affects the whole team performance.
And main thing, Neither Dhoni or Sachin or such popular personalities can be blamed only by those who are above them either professionally or personally. Not just......

As a public figure one should respect public opinion whether good or bad. Dhonis, Sachins and SRKs will not exist if there will not be any public attention. If public can give them name and fame then can as well ask questions in their bad times. It's good for them and good for public as well. At the end of day people invest time and money in them. So, is there any comparison between cricket fan and a player here? Probably bit heavy philosophy for few with little thinking and emotional brains.

I thought Abhinav a team of 11 players did all that for India. Not Dhoni the captain. Remember, a captain is only as good as the team. Clive Lloyd did wonders with the super West Indies team in the 70s and 80s. He did it because the team was good. Could the same Clive Lloyd have done the same with the Indian team? Not possible. Dhoni could achieve so much in test cricket because he had one of the best batting sides with Kumble and Zaheer at the peak. So, give credit to the team, not to Dhoni.

if you consider 81 a great feat then 224 is a colossal feat which their chela Sachin can never dream to achieve,
Re: Re: Paid Commentators are very happy

& why they would not be happy. last two years their chela was getting bowled in less than 10.

Yes, absolutely inspirational when the ball comes below knee level. The moment the ball bounces a bit more and there is more pace and bounce, everyone knows what happens! 4-0 in England, 4-0 against Australia (a team that was and is still rebuilding) and 2-1 loss at home against England! Just imagine what would have happened on this wicket against Monty and Swann. Yes, inspirational indeed without doubt when the ball is below knee level!

I think India will draw this test. If Dhoni has some real hunger to win then he should declare and go for bowling out Aussies by today evening, which looks highly impossible with our bowling quality.

You look like Dhoni basher no matter what even if he scores the runs - maybe you are not happy with your life.
I agree Dhoni is not test class batsman on Aus/Eng/SA but he is not in the team as batsman but as keeper, captain and they only batsman. Look at pure batsman - several of the so called batman failed in the same pitches in last Aus series (Ghambir, Shewag, Dravid, Laxman all failed except of Kholi and to some extent Tendulkar) so but why blame Dhoni alone ?
It does not make Dhoni bad to score 200 in a day when others were struggling y'day. It was not FLAT wicket if you watched the match. But its not something to expect fm u - instead of positive things you tend to focus on negative things so maybe you r a big time loser in life ?

Truth always is bitter. It is left to you to either accept it or leave it.

Ask Shane watson if this is a dead pitch...Go down jealous dhoni basher
Re: Useless heroics by all dead pitch heroes
by wcpak on Feb 25, 2013 09:20 AM
yes absolutely. SRT has been excelling on such pitches only. Otherwise on ther pitches he struggled even at home. whereas dhoni has been successful whenever tendi has failed.
Re: Re: Useless heroics by all dead pitch heroes
by Deshbhakth Hindu on Feb 25, 2013 09:28 AM
Hahahaha. I am no big fan of SRT, but if compare Dhoni and SRT, Dhoni is nowhere near to SRT for batting in different conditions. SRT has scored his runs in all countries, where as Dhoni is sub-continent pitches expert.
Re: Re: Re: Useless heroics by all dead pitch heroes
by Deshbhakth Hindu on Feb 25, 2013 09:30 AM
All of Dhoni's 6 centuries have come in dead sub-continent pitches without pace and bounce.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Useless heroics by all dead pitch heroes
by Deshbhakth Hindu on Feb 25, 2013 09:31 AM
Fool. Look at SRT's average overseas, it is similar to average at home. Compare with Dhoni's average of 28 overseas and 40 at home.

Fool Deshbhakth Hindu...all srt centuries overseas have come on flat dead tracks...when fast and bouncy pitches were prepared overseas he was always a miserable batsmen and a sitting duck. for eg look at his scores during eng and aus whitewashes...he was a complete and total failure on fast pitches...did he average 50 there? LOLOLOL...even dhoni twice scored more than sachin, dravid and laxman scores put together during those whitewashes...

That is why Dhoni's average overseas is 28. hahahahaha. He is a dead pitch (especially Chennai) hero. Outside he finds it difficult to reach double figures.
Re: Re: Re: JUST SHOWS
by Deshbhakth Hindu on Feb 25, 2013 08:49 AM
His average overseas is still 28 eventhough he is lucky enough not to face the likes of McGrath, Donald, Warne, Ambrose, Walsh, Akram, Waqar, etc.
True heroes and role models like MSD and SRK have the gift to stay above bouquets and brickbats. That's what stands them apart from the crowd. These fine gentlemen exemplifies the proverb "When the going gets tough the tough gets going" again and again. As Indians we take pride. Barkingdogs-will-bark!
Re: Re: What else can one expect

good you corrected.I was wondering how on earth anybody can say SRK is his hero and role model.

hey, Amarnath was referring to his test captaincy, not his batting. That has still been abysmal in recent times. Moreover, Dhoni has always been good on Indian pitches.
