It seems MSD has become more and more reliant on Ashwin. The way MSD treated Harbhajan is disgusting. Harbhajan deserves more than this. MSD has to back out of form players.

First of all why out of form bowler was given a chance to be in playing eleven when a bowler who took 20 wickets in recently ended series against England was made to sit on bench for this test. Jadeja was given lesser overs than Bhajji but he took two valuable wickets. Harbhajan took only one wicket that too of a tailender giving 87 runs. In fact Dhoni should have given still lesser overs to Bhajji but to give rest to Ashwin he had to give him overs. India missed Pragyan Oza in this Test very much.

hari, please stop crying. if a spinner is hit for 4 runs per over and gets 1 wicket even after bowling atleast 25 over you cannot blame anybody.

When sachin is in playing like this
by Rajan S on Feb 23, 2013 08:53 PM  | Hide replies

then one shouldn't miss the action. The way he presents the full face of the bat while playing a straight drive, or the way he upper cuts the ball or the way he is playing a cover drive is something worth watching hundred times if not more...No other player in the world has such elegance when in full form. Its very pleasing to the eyes. I guess am not saying this bcoz am an indian. I tried to analyze it after wearing a neutral tag. But still i can't find any other player as elegant as sachin. Players like ricky ponting, steve waugh, brian lara dont even come close to him on that aspect. They are all match winners. I am not disputing on that but the class is missing there. Sachin's bullet drive against brett lee is a must watch if u are an indian. I am sure nobody would have missed it on youtube

I don't deny your statements, but what matters is the success rate, in any sport. How many times has somebody helped the team in winning cause? Same could be said in soccer as well. The flair of a forward or the style of a goal keeper looks nice. What really matters is how many goals has the forward scored and how many saves has the goal keeper made, whether using his hands or legs or body?

SEHWAG,M/VIJAY,BHAJJI ..MUST RAISE THEIR GAME
by damodaran mohan on Feb 23, 2013 08:44 PM  | Hide replies

While Pattison's restricted use in general and specifically against sacin Tendulkar is certainly baffling but to his credit Sachin looked in good nick.It remains to be seen how the Aussies approach the game tomorrow early morning and those half-one hr. are going to be crucial for the subsequent course of the the match. We can only hope both Sachin and Virat play big innings and lay the foundations for the vital first innings lead. Dhoni and jadej also face the crucial batting Test to-morrow. Anyway the much awaited wait is over after the disasterous English Home Test series and with the match delicately poised for now it is still early days to predict on the outcome of the Aus revenge series. Although India did have some positives in the way Ashwin regained his touch and Sachin , Virat and Pujara stabilized the innings but the opening bowling and batting woes continue to haunt the Indians .Both Sehwag and Murali Vijay were hardly looking reassuring and confident although Sehwag was a bit unlucky. Murali vijay has to improve on his feet movement and body language and play freely . His approach is looking very timid as if playing to save his place in the side. Such negative attitude is not going to help him. Finally, the bowlers especially the likes of the experienced Bhajji and Ishant who failed in their first attempt are going to face their ultimate litmus Test in the 2nd innings.

We dont need them to raise their game now. We need the selectors to find good replacements for them. Enough is enough

we already have Ajinkya Rahane, Shikar Dhavan and Pragyan Oza as replacements. The three mentioned above should not be in the squad at all.

Costly Umpiring mistakes
by S Shrikanth on Feb 23, 2013 07:59 PM  | Hide replies

Yesterday, Umpires did not give Michael Clarke LBW when he was at 39 and he led Australia's recovery and went on to make 130.

Today, umpires saved Tendulkar at 37 and he is unbeaten at 71.

Ind v Aus

Test record against eah other

In Aus- Aus leads 26-5

In Ind- Aus leads 15-12

It confirms India is a joke and Aus are champs forever.

Never mind that Oz has a poppulation of 22 million and India have 1.3 billion

And in Ind, it is only cricket whereas in Aus, AFL, NRL, RUGBY and SOCCER compete with cricket.

Bye Bye
