Tendulkar was lucky to survive

because an LBW decision was turned down which was close. But Australian batsmen were not "lucky" when their catches were dropped. Finally, Australian batsmen deserve credit but Sachin is just "lucky" :)

I am not surprised when the achievements of our people are termed as "lucky", "fluke", "fixed", etc. But when others have the same achievements, they are great and our critics would go to any extent in cleaning theirbums.

Clarke was CAUGHT when he was 40, but not given by the umpire. He went on to score 130.

Tendulkar was lucky to survive

21.2 Lyon to Tendulkar, no run, huge appeal. The question here is, did he play a shot? I think he didn't. Flighted outside off, dips on him. Tendulkar is looking to defend, but because if the dip he decides to pad it away. Did it turn back enough? Anyone's guess. The umpire thinks there is too long a distance to go between the pad and the stumps. Or did he actually think he ewas playing a shot? Because he wasn't

HaHa ... just like Clarke was plumb OUT when he was caught off an inside edge?

Anyways, LBW decisions can go either way, there's no way of saying with authority that it was out (sachin's case).

Only in India
by Debang Bal on Feb 23, 2013 01:24 PM  | Hide replies

It happens only in India. The best bowler in previous series(ojha) is kept out to make way for a out of form offie(bhajji-much hyped before the test to force his entry) and a part-time one-day left arm spinner who can bat a bit.(captain's favourite). The result is there.

You did pick up more wickets agaist Eng during the first test and the reaminng tests you were least effective and just went thorugh the motion. Even England tail batted you with ease with one eye
