Congrats Rediff!! Your lobbying for Harbhajan in the last few weeks has worked. More than his record in the past Ranji season, Bhajji owes his inclusion to media who have lobbyed (but why?). I see you had started yesterday "why we need Wasim Jaffer". So, good luck with that. With efforts like this, media groups like you can convert this team in to golden oldies who had performed in test arena 10 years ago. Keep it up!

Well said! What great thing has he done to earn his place back? It's time we look beyond Bhajji & Ashwin for a genuine spinner who can win matches solely on his own. Ashwin sure deserves a shock treatment and needs to perform to retain his place in the team. But, India could have looked for another spinner and not off-colour Bhajji. He's only playing on his past laurels and not on current form.

in reality, harbhajan got half the number of overs which ashwin & ojha got. but still ended up with 2 wickets (same as ashwin). dhoni will suffer for his misdeeds soon.

absolutely right bhajji was made to wait for so long to bowl his first over, and it was so embarrassing not only for bhajji but for the viewers

but now, when dhoni'sass is on fire, he may realize that ashwin needs a lot of improvement (atleast thats what i hope).

Isnt it better if both Ashwin and Bhajji bowled well. After all they are quite different and India desperately needs wicket takers.

Actually yeah, one test Sachin can step out and allow another fellow- Azhar to get records. It wouldn't matter because eitherway results would not be affected.
Bhajji getting chance is not on merit (of couse he can make it count) but more due to lack of succession planning by BCCI to have quality spinners in India, or even if someone is there, not giving him/them the opportunity.
Bhajji needs to talk on cricket filed rather than in press conferences. He has been a fighter all his life except last 2 years, and the all mighty does not throw opportunities to everyone.

Excellant thoughts and cricketing acumen. Not many cricket lover have got these sort of insight and understanding of the game.
the aussies can tackle spin better. the combo of warner watson and clarke could score runs of the spinners so quickly that we might be left clueless. picking 3 spinners also is dangerous as one mighty heave in an over by their batsmen would alter the line and length of our bowlers. we are not disciplined as bedi sir says.

First target should be to look to draw test matches (to be on the safer side) & if everything goes well, try to win the match rather than concentrating on 4-0 result.

Absolutely right, so far only nine have succeeded that is proof that Bhajji has immense talent. I wish him luck.
