by Manoj poojary on Feb 18, 2013 09:02 AM

when all test playing nation are using drs it shows either india wants to proove that it is the smartest to refuse it or india is just using its muscle power.but its really sad to see no drs system used in the indian matches we being a software developing nation and not supporting the technology which is for the betterment of the game

Questions about DRS
by Srivatsan S on Feb 17, 2013 10:50 PM  | Hide replies

1. DRS on LBW is joke.
2. Hotspot not conclusive on edges. Hotspot company itself not 100% sure of its product.
3. Rule of 2 claims in each innings. What happens both the teams uses 2 incorrect reviews in the 1st over of the innings? Does it means upmire decision will 100% after that?

As Dhoni rightly said DRS is a life jacket without a cork...

Ed said rightly-
ghoras want to control through DRS directly or indirectly.

that is no secret. For that, they will enlist non-ghora country by clever politics. Record through Korean or japanese multiple camera(top below bottom side..) and replay to heart content. NO need for DRS control for videshi to exert control like weapons, nuclear energy, etc. etc. i am talking high speed cameras that record even 1000 mile and hour vehicles plate number one after another. We actually need slower version of those cameras that is cheaper.

Don't be a cry baby when somebody is given out by mistake. Umpires are human. Is DRS better than human? If human makes 98 % correct decision, can DRS make 99 % correct decision? No software/hardware is 100 % bug free. But does it support the key critical decisions? If so, then let us use DRS and suggest how to improve it. I am for using any technology which can help to reduce human error.

DRS and India

It is difficult to comprehend and understand India's aversion to the use of DRS? Are India and BCCI trying to take advantage of their abusive money power to avoid DRS? The aversion to use technology is childish and Inane at least in the 21st Century
