Why are you guys so much against him? Has he done anything wrong to you? he is the 10th highest wicket taker in test cricket. He is only the 3rd Indian bowler to take 400 plus test wickets. He is only the 7th bowler to take 5 wickets 25 times in test cricket, which is 2 times more then Kapil Dev. He is the only number 8 batsman to have scored two consecutive test centuries. If you do not know all these things and just hate him then s.hame on you.

Is Harbhajan fit to play for India ?
by P S on Feb 10, 2013 11:31 PM

Harbhajan has become a stereo type and much predictable spin bowler who every players find easy to play. He has missed lots of matches to represent India due to his poor form. He is young and should concentrate on his own performance instead of under estimating Australian team and predict four nil victory for India against them.

I do not think so...
by K Ram on Feb 10, 2013 10:27 PM  | Hide replies

I do not think, Haar Bhajan is still good enough to play even Ranji cricket. He's no more a match winner and can't take the burden on his shoulder and lead the team to win by taking wickets himself. He's only comparable with the present lot who're all "also ran" kind. `wish, the selectors look beyond half talents, bits and pieces players like Bhajji, Jaddu and Ashwin, for a promising spinner who can win the matches solely on his efforts single handedly....

If Ashwin can remain in the team with mediocre bowling, why not Harbhajan

Let me make your memory a bit strong:
he was not dropped from England tour, he had cramps in stomach due to which he had to stay pout of team for few months.

When England toured India, he was not in the first test match, was selected ion second test match but was allowed to bowl only 22 overs in 4 breaks, in short he was used as a part time bowler who allowed the other bowlers to change ends. he still took 2 wickets which equaled Ashwin's tally of 2 wickets in that match.

In the recently concluded match against Mumbai he took 5 wickets out of 14 that fell. In the previous match against Saurashtra he took 6 wickets and opened the attack that sent Surashtra beck in pavilion in little more than 2 sessions of play.

I hope now things are bit clearer to you. There is no harm in disliking a player but to keep your eyes closed to his achievement is not only ignorance but it silly when you make your views public, which are read by people and will certainly attract replies.

Don't just look at wickets, if you see Sreesant in the Irani match, he did not get any wickets, but bowled exceptionally well and moved the ball both ways, bounce and troubled all the batsmat.
But looking at Harbhajan bowling every mumbai playes played he very comfortably, he never troubled any batsmat and made any beaten, all his wickets are just of rash shots by batsman and the upmire's mistakes.

did we watch the same game?. bhaj had a great game and im sure he MUST know that he had a great game, how could he not. not only he was the pick of the bowlers of his team in both innings , he troubled the batsman like as his stats said. as soon as he got the first wicket he was a different bowler, much like his older self. his magical bounce was back (responsible for most wkts), and the turn on the final day, even on a placid track . And, no mumbai player was comfortable to bhaj with the exception of tendulkar. however, funnily he didn't attack tendulkar (the whole time just had a slip and a short leg) , while as many as 4 infielders for others.

Indian cricket do not require people of your mentality. What do you know about his records? His performances? His never give up attitude on field? You dislike him doesn't mean he is of no use to the team.

current form? Look at what he did in the last 2 games. In semis he took 6 wickets and Irani trophy 5 wickets. So is that enough for the current form?
