Iam glad selectors finally made a call on dropping this slug. The man who gave more important to IPL then his natioinal duty and forgot the national pride.
He should have been dropped when he came fit for IPL and announced himself unfit before and after IPL.

very true... None sympathyses with him here at all. He still has a BCCI contract and will earn money. `wish, these unnecessary luggages, extra burdens are denied contract next time and deserving younger players are drafted in.
With three consecutive years without a century and no significant performances, Gauty was only a liability to the team. He must thank his stars for having played this longer and I do not think if he can ever stage a come back again. Any team to do well, needs a good start and Viru and Gauty have hardly ever given it of late. Viru too can not now take his place for granted and by choosing four openers, the message has quite clearly been given to him to either perform or suffer the fate of gauty and perish. Many are asking why Vijay? Players like Vijay, Dinesh Karthink, etc., can any time be thrown in to play international cricket all of a sudden from nowhere and they'd still do reasonably well not withstanding their domestic performances. Linking Vijay's selection to Srinivasan, Dhoni and CSK is utter stupidity and such talks only would put the selectors under immense pressure. In a nation with a 120 crore population with so many divisions based on language, region, religion, none can satisfy all. Vijay had a poor average only last season and his first class career average is comparable with Dhawan or Ghambir. The openers (especially, Viru) shall be well advised to respect the opposition and bat sensibly and not play extravagant shorts from the word, "go"! Let them first dig in, assess the pitch and the bowling before growing audacious. Let's forget our biases and wish the team good luck to do well! Let's not forget, Ausies are just unbeatable and a far better side

More importantly,by dropping Sehwag and Gum Beer alternatively, both have been made to realize that they are not indispensable.Perfect helicopter shot by Dhoni and selectors.

Yuvi, Raina and Rohit have already proved enough they're not test class at all. At least, Raina and Yuvi are class limited overs players; whereas, Rohit is good for nothing and can only be a liability to any team....
I suppose Sachin shouldhave been dropped and Gautam should have been retained. Jadeja is not worth for selection in Test Team. Bhajji is good enough for the selection as he is best in lot in bowling department.
