BCCI's hold over the game is really dangerous..they have used their huge financial clout to intimidate umpires..forced them to into fixing by giving out ridiculous umpiring decisions..they have vehemently opposed induction of technology into this game under various excuses when it is clear to even a layman that human errors are huge when compared to tech errors which are negligible..our recent series is an example..even the board has forced a lot of eminent but spineless cricketers and ex-cricketers to toe their line..and there shudnt be any surprise about the way things are moving bcoz this 'non profit' organisation is headed by a cut-throat businesman.
There should not be any leniency shown to BCCI. They are making huge profits. There should be entertainment tax, income tax and service tax collected on each and every activity of BCCI. They are not doing any charity by conducting IPL games. They are earning millions and millions of rupees.
India slowly recognizing corruption and Monopoly. Sports bodies should have only sportsperson governing them, politicians and corrupt people should be kept out of it. Its only a good start but have a long way to go. Also encouraging to see new generation taking part in peaceful anti-corruption activities unlike the previous generations who only complain and question but do nothing to be part of the solution.
