bad team effort
by Parikshit Chitre on Feb 06, 2013 12:52 PM

it was a poor team show. Neither top bowlers nor top batters did it yesterday. It was really disappointing when we have really good talented players like Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Poonam Raut and Karuna Jain in the team. This will be the last world cup for many of these names and they had potential to do better than this

Great captaincy
by Manoj Dev on Feb 06, 2013 12:38 PM  | Hide replies

Bad captains share responsibility of failure;great ones blame the team. BCCI is blessed that they have found such a marvelous captain for the womens' team as well.
Success is the pillar for failure - our sports teams have always demonstrated so; thanks to the outstanding administrators.

Not only administrators (who think of sports administration as just another grazing ground for themselves) but Indians as well who's dictionary is blaringly devoid of the word SPORTS. For them, POLITICS is the only sport to beleive in & CORRUPTION the only discipline to follow.

Dominance of High caste in cricket or cricket Board
by kallol paul on Feb 06, 2013 12:15 PM  | Hide replies

Won't help!

Sports is not a caste thing ..so it should not have dominance of some higher up influential caste with low sporting potential.

That is so true!

High caste people are not meant to do physical work like participate in sports!

They are only good for stabbing others in the back!

Must have 50% reservations in sports too; 50% of the PM's , Soniaji's and Rahulji's security must have reserved catagory people; atleast 50% of their medical staff must have doctors from the reserved catagories; these high caste ppl have been occupying these important posts for long; even the prez and PM post must have 50% reservation....the nehru family is a brahmin family and have been ruling for so many years. Time to have Lalu or Mayawati or Mulayam or Raja or Kanimozi or Paswan.....as PM for atlease 50 years to make it equal with high caste ppl who have become PM

Good catch C K!

This sport is completely sexist!

But in its defense, it does consider S R K to be a man!

Mithali's anger has to be utilized for progressive home work. She could not imagine how far England, Australia, SL have developed their skill, ability,in all-round performance.
