Somebody correct me if I am wrong, the West Indies of 70s and Australians of the last decade did not seem to be bothered much about pitches as much as emphasis on fitness and practice.

Don't know about West Indies. But the only time the Australians of last decade won a test series in India, there were tailor-made green tops for them.

Such tricks have sometimes backfired to the home team. I remember India being all out for less than 100 runs in a rank turner at home (Kanpur or Ahmedabad?) which was supposed to "frighten" SA who fare badly against spin. And at times, Indian medium-pace-friendly bowlers have also used the pace and swing to win India some matches.

Sameer

Be thankful they allowed
a paki* into their country
Be it NZ or SG.

Going from india with a
pakistani heart (damaging
india's reputation) infact
creates problem for
future indians because
people like you give them
an impression all Indians
are paki lovers. SAD,

Why mullahs should travel ?
when you are so against any
progress or development ?

Atleast NZ has hospitality industries and agriculture innovation, what does pak have? terror industries and stone age culture reinvention. I would take the former any day, any time.
