I would have been happy even if SA won the 1st test because atleast a result is produced and the history being made for the biggest chase in tests.But they threw the advantage away.Just imagine what would have happened if either of the almighty teams (WI of 80s and AUS of 2000s)or a strong batting unit like that of India was there in place of SA.One or two of the batters would have been given the task of taking attack into opposition while others would play more safely or play around them.(For eg Greenidge,Richards for WI Hayden,Gilchrist for AUS and Sehwag,Dhoni for India).But except a cameo from Kallis nobody really accelerated the scoring for SA and that made uncomfortable for the tail enders in the final overs.
haighters of MS D are disapointed... they thot that INDIA will loos this by an innings... then what happent.... now I am shure that kohli can break the record of any batsman in the world including sachin..... and I am shure that kohli will break the records of MS D as A capton.... thanks to kohli for supporting team INDIA and MS D... he is the best wice capton of INDIA....

shex slaves of msd are disapointed because they thought dhoni and srinivasan can fix matches easily. dhoni is zero against pujara and kohli.
i dont consider dhoni best captain. he had taken the reign after mcgrath,shanewarne,stevewaugh et.al. left australia. trescotheck. vaughan.flintoff left eng. wasimakram.waqar.etc left paki. what i've observed in every series the key player of the opposition gets injured or fell sick... the most fortunate thing is during his term all the players were in full form and he was having the huge benefit of sachin dravid laxman . now i feel the curve of success will begin to decline . the match drawn yesterday with south africa would definately have been won by any captain in the world. i give full credit to SA for their tremendous effort. i suggest dhoni to take tips from saurav for overseas success. jai hind.

Not a fan of Dhoni, but what could he do when the bowlers were unsuccessful and fielders were dropping catches in the second innings?

I've time & again said that MSD is a lucky captain. He rarely bats abroad (very well in india no doubt). He is reaping the good fruits today as he had a great line of captains before him like Saurav, Rahul & Anil. He is at times a good captain but many a times lot to be desired. I don't agree that 4 bowlers are not enough. In the 1st innings 3 bowlers took all 10 wickets but in 2nd they failed. Lets accept it SA played exceptionally well under pressure & we failed. Come on yaar it was a a gr8 game. what if we did not win it Fine OK

what MS D got from dravid and ganguli. ganguli wanted to kick out MS D from the test team. in 2012. now ganguli is hiding... but in 2013 ganguli sed that MS D is doing great things for INDIA... un like dravid, ganguli. MS D is A powerful capton... from 2000 to 2004 johnwrite selectedd players for INDIA. from 2005 to 2007. gred chappel selected players for INDIA.. but from 2008 to 2013 MS DHONI selecting players for INDIA... that is the diffrents....
dhoni is a lucky ba---d captain. if morkel is not injured things could have been different. sa may also have lost the test if the target is less since they are chokers.

What a irresponsible statement is that "I am very happy with the performance if consider the time we had for preparation." Do all other teams stay a year in SA or what to play the series? World Champions :D losing like minnows in ODIS whereas Pakistan won like Tigers. And in this test match also we have lost the chance of saving the pride. Pathetic Bowling and captaincy.

Well said Venu.. India was on top for almost 4 days. It was only the failure of our bowlers on the fifth day that the result dint come up in our favour.

Once again our shameless bowlers Zaheer, Ishant and Ashwin showed they cant win matches. Only shami bowled wicket to wicker. Rest all were dependent on the batsmen to make mistakes. India doesnot deserve to be in the top 3 in test matches. Pathetic Captaincy from Dhoni as well. He should have gone for the kill and told his batsman to played a bit fast on the 4th day so that they would have got more time. And SA too were cowards..drawn a match almost won the fifth day.

Extending your argument, Steyn is also a useless bowler since he could not bowl out Pujara and Kohli and they got a 200 run partnership.. Actually the pitch had eased out considerably on the 5th day. SA is also a very strong side, they chased 400 against Aus, the AUS media did not call their bowlers shameless
