MS D is the one and only capton who hard white washed AUS 4.0 your ganguli lost A series to AUS in 2004. in INDIA.

Only Wadekar ,Kapil and Dravid won series against Eng in Eng. No Indian captain won a series in SA and Aus. Ganguly drawn series against Eng in Eng and Aus in Aus but Dhoni lost against Eng 0-4 in Eng and 0-4 against Aus in Aus. No Indian captain faced such back to back humiliated defeat abroad. It is only Ganguly who won a test series in Pak.

dhoni did not lose 0-4 0-4 vs eng and aus...he lost 0-4 vs eng and 0-3 vs aus...the 8th test dhoni did not play vs aus because he faced 1 test ban due to slow overate of indian bowlers...sehwag captained the side in the absence of dhoni but the result was the same....
ganguly did not winthe test series in pak....it was dravid and ganguly combination...ganguly captained for 1 test in that series and dravid captained 2 tests in that series...dravid won 1 test and lost 1 test ganguly won the test he captained and we won the series 2-1

There is no difference in 0-8 and 0-7. No Indian captain faced such humiliated 0-8 or 0-7 defeat abroad. Also if Dhoni would be captain in that last test which was lead by Sehwag result would be same. There should be no proud feeling by saying it was 0-3. In the series against Pak, the deciding third test won by Ganguly’s captaincy. Dravid was acting captain in first two test in place of injured Ganguly. Ganguly was declared Captain before starting of the series.

pakhal vato dhoni has so far captained in 11 tests against aus losing 3 and winning 8....so it is a great achievement...
losing 3 is nothing compared with the 8 tests which we won under him against australia...
surely winning nearly 3 times more than losing is good...
yes he lost to clarke's side 0-3...but in the other 8 tests 4 of which were captained by clarke and other 4 captained by ponting we won under dhoni's captaincy....

It was a question of abroad winning.We were also discussing about abroad. Not including Indian venue. Dhoni has no abroad win against Aus & Eng. 0-4 against Aus in Aus and 0-3 against Eng in Eng.

Also if you include home and away both then Gavaskar has record of 3-1 against Aus which is better than Dhoni's 8-3.

Admit that if Dhoni would be captain result would be same and there is no difference in 0-8 or 0-7. Also it is not Dhoni's fault totally. Total team's fault. Also it is also true that Ganguly was better captain than Dhoni but as a keeper-batsman-captain dhoni is the best.

Its a mixed bag. Ganguly tied 1-1 against England and Aus in the chance that he got. He lost to SA on 2 occasions(1-0) and (2-1). Under him, India started to be competitive abroad, which Kumble, Dravid and Dhoni extended further. For proof, just look at India's away record under Sachin/Azhar, and then under Ganguly.

contrary to what many people believe...dhoni was not captain in the 4 tests that we lost in australia....he captained 3 tests and in the 4th sehwag was captain...
and in india dhoni has captained india in 8 tests against aus winning all of them....4 times the captain was clarke and 4 times it was ponting...just check if you know how to check....and dont ask me how to find it out...should i tell you that also? cannot you do anything on your own?
