I think its unfair to club players while rating. Believe that there should be separate MVPI rankings for Batsmen, Bowlers and All rounders. This will also help if the T20, one-dayers and Test cricket. Most importantly I think MVPI can be used to select players into the team and that is where its strength lies
The BCCI should have gone for a 5 game ODI series. most of the players are young and they lack exposure. The BCCI was scared to face SA in SA that is understandable but we need to confront the situation and groom players for the future.
