SA is the one of the better teams in the world cricket today. So, when u r coming for a tour like this with inexperienced players ,u need to have some practice matches to get used to the pitches here.If u play practice matches, doesn't guarantee success but at least the team will put up a better show.
No point in blaming just the bowlers, even the batsmen were not able to put the bat to ball with the exception of Dhoni & Kohli. It was a collective failure.
Hope this will teach BCCI a lesson and they will include some practice games for important overseas tours like this.

You have to learn lesson... BCCI is very clever then you all... they know what to do next to forget all these kind bad matches/series.

they are not in the team. Zaheer khan who is an experienced bowler in the team he was not taken in the 11 because Dhoni did not like him.

hey baburamansrinivasan, improve ur cricketwisdom zaheer is not in odi team people who don't know basics will come and writeoff their comments.
I think Indian batting will assert itself very shortly but the bowling is awfully lacking. But then gtry to remove Ahswin or Jadeja from the team, there will be a hue and cry.
We do well in Indian conditions but flounder in SA, England and Australia. BCCI is the richest Cricket Body in the world. We always blame foreign pitches. But I want to ask, with all the money available, why we cannot prepare pitches like in SA,England and Australia?
Can we not transplant the soil of those places here, prepare a few pitches and allow our cricketers to get a feel of it before going there? With so many former cricketers to guide us we seem to be failing our teams somewhere. The experts should speak up as to how to play on bouncy wickets.

If we make pitches like them, we may not keep No1 spot as we may loose matches in our own sail also.
The result was not anything unexpected. The home team always makes sure that the pitches are tailor-made to suit the local latent and not to assist the opposite side in any way. India has a good crop of young fast bowlers. They should only get trained to bowl at the right spot and line in pitches they are not familiar with. Better luck India. N.S.Krishna Murthy

Dont speak about home team advantage in defense of the bad performers. Dint any Indian bowler bowl well till now in SA?
