The tribal heartlands of India are a very good place to unearth and develop genuine tearaway fast bowlers. Due to their life style, tribal and rural guys have more stamina and force compared to an urban lad.

Not necessarily. The young talent in India is really good. You ca find many genuinely quick bowlers in the maidans and tennis ball leagues, across the country. The problem is well articulated by Mr. Pont. The coaches askk fast bowlers to sacrifice speed for line nd length. This, coupled with lack of proper guidance about skill improvement, fitness and match practice, kills mny a budding fast bowling talent, even before they reach 16-17 years in age. There has to be a proper structure to identify, nurture, guide and encourage fasst bowlers in India. o other way to beat the issue. It will take a lot of money nd effort but if anyone can do it, it has o be BCCI, which is te richest sports body in India. Hope someone, somebody in BCCI does somethin about this.

Well said Robert.. This issue of rural/urban is simply an eyewashing tactic to divert from the real issue.
