I feel there is too much of focus on our batting in SA conditions. Are our bowlers planning in advance to tackle SA stalwarts like Smith, Kallis and Amla? If bowlers are not able to contain them, no good score by our batters will be insufficient. SA not only has good batsmen, but quick scoring batsmen like De Villiers. Is there a plan in place or we simply believe that SA batting is not going to click.

You should either have a consistent solid batting or a bowling lineup (if not both) to do well. With the bowling section being unpredictable, batting fortress has to be strengthened. ODI I feel, is not a problem. But it is the tests that I am worried.

Nothing like that Krishna.. Media will shout for his head, India will be made to play and win against a dummy team (like WI) and then Holymolly the same media will claim that he is the greatest captain on earth :). Observe one thing, whenever there is a controversy like fixing or vested interests or anything like that, it is followed by an emphatic Indian victory which surprisingly makes the media forget about all the controversies..

M Dhoni, I dont want to sound like a revolutionary communist. But I think the present lot will manage in the ODIs. It is the tests which I am more curious. It would be a real test to see if Laxman-Dravid's resilience or Sachin's class. I would like to see Kohli, Dhawan among the runs. I dont expect much of Vijay or Rohit (well, if Raina could get a 50 in England, Rohit could do well in atleast 1 match in SA).. But BCCI got a good deal with lesser tests.
