Indian cricket

Indian cricket seems to be at its best now. Sustained efforts by BCCI to promote, develop cricket at district level with various tournaments, the NIAs, MRF pace foundation all seem to be bearing the fruit now. While the seniors have don well in England, WI and in Zimbabwe, juniors are doing well in SA, Singapore.

With the present crop of cricketers, it won't be flattering to say that India can field two teams that my be in the top-5 in the world cricket.

Lets hope the players sustain the momentum for years to come.

unbeaten run in the tournament
by santosh pathak on Aug 25, 2013 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

India didn't have an unbeaten run in the tournament as written in this article. They were defeated by Afghanistan in their last league match. However, it was a very comprehensive win by the Indians today defeating the arch rivals by nine wickets. I saw India's first league match against Pakistan and also today's final match live at Kallang cricket ground. The atmosphere was great as in any India-Pak match. Great performance by the Indian youngsters today. Enjoyed a lot.

Correct. It was a totally one sided affair. Although Pakistan team had atleast three players who had represented their national team at the highest level (Hammad, Ehsaan, Usman) compared to none in the Indian U23 team but the Pakistan team looked quite ordinary today. Well deserved victory for India.
