I feel Vijay has good 5 years left in Test opener slot. But for that he has to forget his interests in T20 and ODI and concentrate only in Tests. During non Test periods he has to sign up with English, AUS and SA county's to get maximum exposures in foreign soils.
why was karthick dropped after a match winnings in the finals of the three nation tournament? Saha is nowhere near the class of Karthick in wicket keeping and batting and still Saha has been preferred on many occasions.

One might also ask slowly Murali Vijay is put in the background. I was feeling that he would become a mainstream batsmean for India..

Yes. if you take last AUS series Vijay scored two big hundreds and few scores above 40, but Pujara and Dhawan were been given much attentions.

Its simple. If Karthik scores Century then he will big contender for No 6 (no. 5 after Sachin retires)slot in Test with added advantage of his Keeping. North Indians doesn't want that as it will be shutters for Raina, Rohit Rahane or Tiwary.
