This could happen to any team
by venkatesh rao on Aug 14, 2013 11:31 AM

I think many people are being very harsh to the Australian team because of the past form. This team is different and the management of Australia is now facing the problem of its rotation policy, which was flawed. by resting players in form and suddenly calling them back. the big mistake was not to play Mitchell Johnson, he could have contributed both with the ball and bat. The worst thing that could happen to a team is not knowing who will be your team mates for the entire series. Having said that this happened to many teams while touring Australia including India and the team should be allowed to come out of it rather than putting lot of pressure on them.

Australia Need to hire Indian coach, I think Kumble, Dravid or Laxman would be best choice.

when players are given free reign and allowed to select coaches and selectors...clarke got too big for his boots when he did that...

this is what happens when arrogant players and captain throw out great greg chappell....he was the one who put india on the road to no 1 rank in all formats...

Dawn fall of Aussies
by Sampurnanand Inamdar on Aug 13, 2013 05:10 PM

yesterday we have witness the surprise sight of victory to the Aussies team converted into their defeat, they were not ready at all for this victory on the offer, they forgotten to make runs & builting partnerships, look at the dismissals how funniest they were, certainly not at par at the test level.i think except Micheal Clark no one got out to the wicket taking deliveries, they gave away thier concentration & threw their wickets, shame on Australian Cricketers showing very very poor show on the field. they have forgotton to grab victories, that's what i can say.

humiliating defeat - Clarke to blame
by sundaram chandran on Aug 13, 2013 02:28 PM

Alas, when it was wantonly needed, Clarke failed miserably to rise to the occasion. Even lesser rated teams would have fought it out and won, but the mighty aussies could not do it. Of course the England bowling was tremendous. It has been observed that any side facing defeat would go hammer & tongs in order to salvage some pride and give a good fightback, but this aussie side simply surrendered without any fight. It is very sad to see that the once mighty aussies are going down like meekly. It is high time Clarke is replaced with Watson. Clarke is not able to enthuse his players like earlier aussie skippers. His body language during the matches also do not augur well and no motivation is seen. Clarke will be invaluable as a batsman, but he is not captaincy material. Look at Sachin Tendulkar - there is a broad similarity. Only in this case, Sachin quickly realized and relinquished captaincy and today he is a phenominal success. Clarke has to follow this, otherwise Australia will keep on losing matches after matches.

I don't understand the up and down law of sports.

Just that Aussie are known for their arrogance which the aussies believe is being aggressive.

I like SA team instead. Inspite of being on top of the game they are never arrogant and cocccckkkyyy like the Aussies.

And what about the Indian team both at the test and one day level for internal politics famous during the 70s' and 80s'. And now for money through match and spot fixing and for nothing. Needless I say more.

Aus media please do not forget some of the biggest ever collapse of Indian team. I need not recount any, because these are fresh for any Indian loving the game and the country. Both in Test and One day international we are famous for doing that including the now famous match fixing and spot fixing.
