Dada Gave Thirst To Win
by rocky on Aug 07, 2013 10:25 AM  | Hide replies

Whatever we are as cricketing team, Dada has huge contribution towards it. Dada gave Indian Board/Cricketer the hunger, thirst & Hunting approach. His Contribution can't be denied & I believe Dada has lot of Cricket running in his vein as blood even now after retirement.

Ganguly played the role of a great mentor to Indian team.
by Indranath Lahiri on Aug 07, 2013 10:06 AM  | Hide replies

Ganguly had hold the reins of Team India when it was in a jeopardy which was rocked by scandals of match fixing from then he made a strong plinth & brought "can win attitude"in the team.
It was a nexus between Kiran More who had a below par cricketing carrer & Chappel which saw this great mentor & captain bow down. This both have done immense damage to India Cricket.

aggressiveness and positive attitude towards game and killer instrinct was developed under ganguly, Azar was great but he spoiled his achivements by his own mistake, always we shold play for our country not for individual benefit?

It is high time ex-players like Ganguly,Dravid,
Kumble,Gavaskar,Kapil,Kirti Azad,Bishan Singh Bedi,M.Amarnath (and many others) take over the
board management & drive out all the politicians and corporate tycoons for benefit of Indian cricket.I am sure all Indians will fully support the cause.

i am sorry to say they will not be able to do much good...gavaskar was given role of batting coach...he did not do much well...also kapil was given the job of being in charge of indian grounds...again he did not do much difference...also it is another thing to be good player and another thing to be a good administrator....a good administrator need not be a good player and a good player need not make a good administrator...

greg chappell did more good than bad...it is because of him that new generation players got entry into indian team and got a chance to play get experience and security...if he was not there at that time, the T20 wc the odi wc the tri series in aus would be played by players like sachin dravid laxman ganguly bhajji kumble etc. and we would have won nothing...

for all the good that kirsten did he must thank greg who paved the way for him...if greg had not been our coach kirsten would not have achieved what he did with the older generation players...

of course by odi wc i mean the one which we won...it was because of him that new generation players came into the team...otherwise the wc which we won would have gone on the line with the previous wc under greg chappell which was filled with older generation players and less of new generation players...if chappell was not there the players like dhoni gambhir kohli pujara raina praveen irfan and others would not have got so much chance, experience, confidence and security and the results are there for all of us to see...he sowed the seeds which flowered under kirsten reign as a coach...

Greg was right to a large extent. It is just that he was impatient and thought he could change things drastically in this cricket crazy country. He was unlucky that BCCI made him a bali_ka_bakra.

Of course. There is no doubt and he played for the pride of India. Unfortunately he was displaced by the arrogant chappell and his chappal. Yes!
