ONLY POLICE INVESTIGATIONS RESULTS MATTER
by damodaran mohan on Aug 06, 2013 08:10 PM

What is needed is complete overhaul of BCCI functioning making it a transparent body coming under RTI. What is now happening is only a tweaking, a factional fight among different factions of the pvt. cosy club. Actually the conflict of interest issue of N Srinivasan is the main problem and where BCCI and its luminaries failed people was when they allowed constitutional change to accommodate conflict of interest of Srinivasan. Evidently it was a natural corollary of a mutually benefitting members’ club and the Meyiappan issue is only comes handy for the anti-Srinivasan group to force a game of musical chair nothing more. This Srinivasan goes another Srnivasan plus replaces him. Next scandal and yet another musical chair of shuffling of chairs. Also given this background any internal investigations meanwhile by BCCI is not going to help because one, any internal probe is not going to be independent and will be invariably slanted with one or the other faction. Next, any internal proble will not be practicable because of limitations of availability of crucial evidences which are primarily with the police. Consequently ideal thing will be to expedite Police investigations and take action in line with its results. As far as Srini’s fate is concerned it will be decided by numbers and nothing else .So all this ‘step-aside’ etc. are all humbug more of illusory nature created for public consumption by likes of Arun Jaitley &co.

by Jay S on Aug 05, 2013 11:57 PM

Wish these corrupt officials leave the governing of cricket in India. Really sick of seeing them defend their actions and the corruption. I really hope they go away soon. Love the sport of cricket but hate the BCCI. I hope the bad karma gets them soon!!!

What is the hidden agenda?
by thomas mathew on Aug 05, 2013 10:35 PM

Why is BCCI pressng on Srinivasan only to head it ? A guy like Arun Jaitley who is supposed to be a stalwart of a national party like BJP and another stalwart from Congress Rajiv Shukla are all holding hands together behind the tainted and dirty politicking Srinivasan . What is the hidden agenda? Th two member board was instituted and comprised of people liked by Srinivasan of his own croonies who gave him a clean chit obviously being namak halals and rightly HC Mumbai invalidatedit . Now shamelessly the BCCI mainly egged on by Jaitley and Shukla fall in line as obedient canines behind their master Srinivasan and play the game in the name of BCCI, the richest and the most corrupt sports organizations on hand today similar on the working lines of Mumbai Underworld , terrorizing and bullying and to the extent of killing creer of people who go up against them

BCCI's Dirty Tricks
by kumar kn on Aug 05, 2013 08:09 PM

The BBCI is shamelessly filing an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court. Everyone knows about Srinivasan. His reputation has gone to the dogs. What is strange is what the other members of BCCI like Jetley, Shukla, Farooq Abdulla, etc are doing. Why don't they protest and protect their reputations? What will be the fate of Jetley as a senior lawyer if Supreme Court upholds the HC verdict? He will have egg on his face. Shukla is a wheeler dealer. As IPL Commissioner when the spot fixing episode took place, he took no responsibility and has quietly relinquished his post. The whole bunch at BCCI are hand in glove with Srinivasan and should bear equal responsibility. Shame on them for not standing up for some ethical functioning.
