now PR is demoted and will again have to perform better for selection and then will again be 12th man or on bench, maybe he will get a fielding chance as 12th man and then again will play for India A
I agree Ransool should have played 5th ODI but why Politicians and J&K citizens has not made any appreciation or rewards to Suresh Raina who is originally from J&K, who has done lot of achievements in ODI cricket and also scored Test century on Debut. All bcoz he is a Hindu
Whoever criticise the decision of not giving a chance to Rasool is forgetting the basic fact that Cricket is a game and a team plays games primarily to win, not for charity or publicity. Think professionally, not passionally. Wait... this will be the stock justification we can hear in the hours to come from the pundits - the same ones who had vouched that Cricket is not just a game, it is a religion... passion of a billion... blah... blah... While we agree icon players are goodwill ambassodors, we do expect some level of statesmanship too from them. Here, BCCI failed (whether deliberately or not is another question) to realise the feelings of stakeholders of the game and gifted a chance not just to the usual critics of the game but also the detractors of peace and harmony in a billion minds. A few good players can win matches continuously. What separates good from great is the ability to contribute to the nation's cause too. That is the difference between playing for your Board and playing for your Nation. And at times, a loss in a game can actually win upon a lot of hopeful minds.

I fully endorse your views. No hardcore plans were required to dismiss a team like Zimbabwe. Here was a perfect chance to give this youngster from J& K a fair chance.Kohli,as usual, has this habit of putting foot in his mouth by giving such amaturish comments. He still has to grow up....

Eventually right man. Kohli after given a stand in cap chance has decided to become a selector instead to judge the player who to play and who should not ???? guess Jadeja should have been given the boot.

agreed, PR should have been given a chance, with 4-0 lead, whether it is 5-0 or 4-1(assuming Zimbabwe had won). it shows that Virat is more interested is averse to risk taking of playing youngsters. He seems to be more interested in getting into Dhoni shoes . That was the only agenda, virat should know that Dhoni takes risks and instills confidence in youngsters. Grow up VIRAT... There is something called Corporate Social Responsibility( since BCCI is a corporate Body). to promote cricket in J&K you need to create Brand ambasassodors. That is how Jharkhand came on India's cricketing map

well... Dhoni was given a chance because he was a promising wicket keeper batsman and not bcoz he was from Bihar/ Jharkhand... creating brand ambassadors for the sport in different states cannot be the primary objective of any professional team
