Australian Cricket
by Rupan on Aug 02, 2013 10:00 PM  | Hide replies

Australian Cricket is at lowest ebb . Their crashing out of World Cup '11 , Losing Commonwealth Bank Series in 2008 , Losing Champions Trophy 2013 , Losing T20 World Cups in 2010 and 2013 , Losing 4-0 in India ,Losing last 2 Ashes , Getting dismissed for just 47 against South Africa in 2011 at Cape Town , are testimony to this. It is not because of absence of greats like Warne , Hayden etc but because of arrogance that they had inculcated under the captaincy of Steve Waugh . Opposition teams these days are paying them in the same coin and not by arrogance , sledging but by playing much superior level of cricket . Australian team has always believed in playing mind games with the oppositions . Now ,they are getting into the same trap . World Cricket should be thankful to Harbhajan Singh courtesy 2008 Monkeygate in Sydney . In that too , Harbhajan was cleared and Australia was accused of racial slurs on Asian Teams . Symonds was never included in Australian Team ever since this incident . Same happened with Simon Katich . Since 2008 , Australian Cricket has been a case of a downward spiral in terms of performance . Australia is not even in Top 4 , be it T20 ,ODIS's or Tests . Australia must learn lessons from these things before mocking others . Its a famous saying that if one points finger at others , he /she has three fingers faced inwards , which means he /she is three times more guilty than the other person . Same case in Australian Cricket .

Australia's standard now is just like Bangladesh or Zimbabwe..

In the recent they lost matches played against India, England..

Indian young and aggressive brigade will very easily defeat them at Australia...Just wait

THe days are over when we depended n just the spin bowlers and presently we have equally gud pacers and our youngsters are not afraid of the bouncing pitch per se. It is time for aussies to realize that they are not the serious threat as in the bygone days

Kapil should have replied 'Yes, I am worried just a bit - considering we just would get 2 matches at Perth to play, on our way to win the 2015 World Cup - Not sure if I can lobby to get more' - Yeh Dil Maange More!!!'

Aussies needs to know the quality of their team in Ashes now
by Pukuta Mestri on Aug 02, 2013 04:27 PM

If Indian players are seen as susceptible for pacy wicket, the current Aussies team is no good either. World has seen the pathetic performance of them in first 2 test matches against England. They need to understand World cup is 50 over match and not test match to threaten with pace bowling. In the limited over matches, players after initial overs, doesn't much worry about the pace but worry about score board. They don't care who the bowler is or at what pace he is bowling but hit the ball to get maximum. Let them also understand, the same team did not have answer to Indian pace attack or other country's pace attach in the recently completed CT in England. So before showing other's weakness, they need to fix their foundation first. Their team is no longer No 1 and India maintained that rank for some time now. Ranking has been not done by BCCI but ICC - have respect and recognize the merit of Indian team though we are eclipsed by fixing stories.

Eh?
by Ajai Jacob on Aug 02, 2013 04:12 PM  | Hide replies

Cricket, played seriously by 10 countries has been dying a slow death since the past several years .

India, the only major country that takes lazy cricket seriously has contributed to this dying process through the spot-fixing scandal .

Hence neither cricket nor India need be taken seriously by the world .

The world will be a far better place without good for nothing , lazy cricket .

Sh*t U*. Be glad that India is at the top of the world of cricket. Out of the 10 countries which play Cricket, each one of them are power houses for sports in general. Doesn't take away anything from India. Fools argue cricket is killing other sports..sorry, India is simply not good at any other and so more and more are attracted to cricket. Every country and sport follows success.

I want to ask you how many countries play the baseball?. But its still popular in US. So it does not matter in how many countries the sport is played but its our passion and interest in that game. Take Kabaddi..shud we stop playing it because no one else plays.. So stop your idiotic comments
