CSK is sitting pretty at the top. The most important question that comes to mind is if the defending champions KKR can still make it to the last four ? KKR has 7 outings remaining of which only one with RR at home at Eden gardens and the other TWO at adopted homes in Ranchi & Raipur with PW,and DD. The remaining 4 matches are away games and include the tougher matches with MI at wankhade, with RCB at adopted home Ranchi. The easy ones include those with PW twice and may be with SRH. So 3-4 matches KKR might still win but that might not be enough. MI have two tough matches with CSK and KKR. Out of the remaining 5 matches they should be able to win 3 and make it to last four.RCB have all tough rounds left but still should be able to make it because it has strong batting and bowling outfits. So we are left with 1 spot which could be filled by RR who are playing well as a unit coming up with new surprise elements in each match.SRH is likely to miss the bus because their batting unit is not clicking even at this late stage after joining of SD. Same with Punjab the laziest fielding side who are not consistent enough to wrap up a close match.

I think you should relax a bit... Have you tried playing pokers?
Points table should be arranged as per number of losses.. Starting from lower number to higher and then if the number of losses are same then consider net run rate..number of games played will become irrelevant with this system..
Should RCB not be in the 4th position, below RR and MI, considering it has played one extra game and the other two teams are yet to play their respective 10th game?
The NRR should only come into play when the teams have played an equal number of games.

Yes. You are correct considering the number of games played, RCB should be next to RR & MI.

No, RCB should be second only. Chances are there in remaining two matches, MI and RR lose and doesn't improve net run rate. One cannot predict what will happen. Here the rating is purely based on points and run rate.

This table presents the current position only. Anyways it is irrelevant if a team is placed 2nd or 3rd now. What matters most is that the position when all the league matches are completed.
