When I was in Chennai, I went to stadium just day before to see the practice match(Next day it was India Vs Pakistan Match in which Saed Anwar made world record)I saw him near to dresssing room & kept my hand on his soldier & stomach. It was nice feeling to see & touch such a great sports man. Happy Birthday little master.

Was it your loss or Sachin's loss.

When opportunity strikes you need to strike and can't blame others for the loss..

Next time take a bold step he will not kill you for that.

It is my way of thinking sorry if i have hurt you.

100* vs Kenya in Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 31st May 1998
by Spoof Nava on Apr 23, 2013 03:10 PM  | Hide replies

I went to the match bunking my tutions with some of my friends... Kenya batted first and they were losing wickets in a hurry. There was a danger that the match would finish quickly and it would be a one sided affair and obviously we will miss Sachin's batting. This was the first time I heard Eden spectators cheering Kenya so that they can post something substantial. As far as I remember, they were bowled out for 190 . Out came SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR to open the batting. The crowd was on their feet and cheering Sachin for each single he took. Jadega joined Sachin in the middle and they were playing superbly. Then came a situation where Sachin needed some runs to complete his century and Jadega also was looking for his 50. They played for each other that day. Jadeja was denying singles so that Sachin can get runs in the other over. It was calculated perfectly. Ultimately Sachin got to exact 100* and Jadeja too completed his 50* when the match ended. This was the first time I witnessed Sachin's century in an ODI. I believe my bunking the tutions was worth it. I still cherish that day :)
