The best according to me
by Ajeet Singh on Apr 29, 2013 12:34 AM

The best according to me is Bhajji breaking into Gangnam style after dismissing Chris Gayle in Mumbai. The best so far by all means.

PW CAN STILL MAKE THEIR MARK IN THIS IPL
by damodaran mohan on Apr 19, 2013 03:57 PM  | Hide replies

(contd.)RR led from the front by Rahul Dravid in fact is playing so far the way they did during the first IPL when Shane Warne led them to win the inaugural trophy. It remains to be seen if RR maintains the winning streak and repeat history yet again ? SRH on the other hand has been having a dream run of wins mainly on the strength of its bowling. May be once Shikhar Dhawan joins SRH could improve its batting although that just one addition alone might not be enough as the current batting appears to be woefully inadequate. That leaves the remaining teams, namely PW and Punjab who are presently struggling with their fortunes fluctuating like pendulum between two extremes. PW traversing from the high of humbling the mighty CSK in their own den to the low of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory on their own ground against SRH amply reflects poor planning and execution..PW will have to completely reshuffle their side with better foreign buys like Marlon Samuels, Tamim Iqbal etc, provided they are available. Further, they should change their captain to either Smith or Finch with Smith taking the role of the finisher. They have lost four matches so far and will have to win at least next 7-8 matches out of 10.Tall order but possible given their bowling strength. Similarly Punjab beat the defending champs KKR but lost to RR. Hence this side also need some drastic changes like Gilli making way for youngsters and few more changes. Once all the team managements take their b

BATTLE INTENSIFIES AS IPL ENTERS THE NEXT STAGE
by damodaran mohan on Apr 19, 2013 03:34 PM  | Hide replies

Indeed IPL-6 majestically marches ahead with over one third matches played many of them exciting close finishes to cherish for ever. It is not just entertainment cricket of Towering sixes and fours but even the stunning catches, diving saves....almost all that help raise the standard of cricket to another level were there in abundance for the thousands of spectators thronging the stadium. So to that extent purists should not have much complaint with IPL. Coming to the tournament, the teams seem to have just crossed the initial starting inertia stage and the table standing gives more of a mixed signal with smaller teams occupying the top and the favourites yet to find their feet and true standing. In the coming week in the middle stage the battles are going to hot up and become more intense with the ‘biggies’ going all out for win towards topping the table. While RCB seems to be gaining from strength to strength to attract the ‘favorites’ tag the other heavyweights like MI and CSK also appear to be slowly gathering steam inspite of some unexpected reverses. On the other hand DD, the last yrs table topper is virtually out of contention for the play offs and one slot is vacant straight away to grab.Even the defending champ KKR has not lived up to expectations due to repeated batting failures .So there could be be a 2nd slot opening for the smaller teams and teams like RR and SRH who have done extremely well so far have to show character and fight f
